Well written and seems to be without an 'agenda' behind it. Treats many aspects of reasons why disclosure may not be the best road, and if decided upon should be well thought out ahead of time. Referring to disclosure when dating someone is starting to get serious, I thought the advice if rejected was right on point: "Go find a partner who can accept you for who you are." It is a decision that WILL have consequences and should be thought through thoroughly. This article goes along that path and should be read by anyone considering disclosure. Personally, I think that you should consider not just your own feelings and needs, especially if you are already married to a spouse who does not know, but the mostly negative effect on those you disclose to - the closer the person(s) are to you the more consideration you should give. Will the risk of losing that person from your life be worth whatever you gain from disclosure? Good article - well written. pc
