| The Washington Gender Alliance was founded as the Bellingham Gender Group in April 1996 by Barbara Yaple. The Open Support Meeting has been held every single Tuesday without exception since then, and continues to meet to this day. Over the years, the Washington Gender Alliance has expanded our services to include a Speakers Bureau, a web site, support meetings for our Significant Others, Friends, Family, and Allies (SOFFA), and FTMs. We also assist others in starting local support meetings in their areas. |
