Making the rounds
« on: August 21, 2007, 01:59:21 am »

I've been slowly and methodically cornering my friends one by one to inform them of my presence. So far I'll have to say that atleast during the "talk" they've been mostly very receptive. I haven't had anyone just flat out reject, though a few have been more along the "not going to bring it up ever again" sort of mindset.

My basic approach is if I can get the friend alone with me one on one(and marq), I'll usually steer the conversation onto gender if time allows. Otherwise if gender comes up in a conversation that works for me too.

I'm glad most of my friends have very open minds and some have other friends in similar situations and can definitely understand. I would like to know more people in my area that from the transgendered community that I can talk with because I can't possibly fathom that I would be the only one anywhere around. The difficult part is to find them.

I absolutely adore the people who go out of their way to show they support me. One of my friends knows Marq and I like to play card games and so he got us some pink playing cards and got us a bunch of other games in pink Supergirl Party bags. There is hope for me yet.

Being given the gift of two-spirits meant that this individual had the ability to see the world from two perspectives at the same time. This greater vision was a gift to be shared, and as such, Two-spirited beings were revered as leaders, mediators, teachers, artists, seers, and spiritual guides

I enjoy reading your diary about Marq and Mia because some of the stuff that Marq and Mia write I can relate too. My guy side has different interests than the woman side of me so I can relate to each of you(Marq and Mia)in that way.

Well thank you Chillin for reading our diary/blog stuff. Most of this stuff is just Mia's opportunity to be heard seperate from Marq. The rest of the stuff we've posted everywhere else on the forums are more of a combined input on those topics. Our comparison list we feel is still very incomplete but was all we could think of at the time.

We look foward to talking with you again soon.
