Heard that at an AA meeting and love it! In a way, I feel so lucky to be an alcoholic/addict because so much of the support is relative to my transition issues.

It is a great saying.  Kurt Cobain is the most recent person to have coined the phrase, but there have been several minor variations of this little gem that preceded his version.

Its my understanding that AA is about being lucky in finding the program, not in making the choices that got you there.
