Title: Wobbly hips
Post by: Beth Andrea on July 04, 2013, 09:42:25 AM
Just wanted to share a happy I had the other day...while at work I felt a bit "wobbly" in the pelvic area for a few hours. Nothing which made me unstable, just a little "loose." I just noted it, but later on I remembered that cis-women get loose during certain times (can't remember when...puberty? Pregnancy? Periods?) and it's the pelvis that is widening...

Well, this morning I was looking at my upper thighs...and I noticed a new detail, they don't go straight up to my waist anymore, there is a definite point at which the thigh muscles (soft tissues) are wider (at the hips) than at mid-thigh. I can actually feel the angular change at that point.

Anyway, I'm hoping that there was some change in this area, logically it's not from bone but there's something good going on.

:)

At your age indeed a bone change would be surprising. However I don't know, maybe the way those same bones are arranged, with ligaments and whatnot, can be changed. For example the hips wouldn't widen, but the femur would attach to the hipbone a bit less towards the center.

What I do know is that I did have some pelvic enlargement, and that I'm happy of it. It's even one of the only things I've had from E so far. My dose is so low fat redistribution doesn't even seem to be kicking in, and the slightly softened man's chest I have can't seriously be called breasts. At my mother's, I put on a bit of weight, and it was obvious that it went into the belly. Not to mention that even at 165 cm and ~135 lbs, which is definitely not supposed to be so fat, I still have a problematic belly. So yeah, happy my hips changed.

(And sorry for the awkward off-topic stuff. Anyway, yeah, whatever the cause, it's good that your hips have changed.)

I wish I could stretch that area more easily. It tends to get stiff and then my hips can't move much and walking feels a bit weird. But it sure is a hard place to stretch.

No problem with the off-topic stuff, I have a hard time following topics anyway...did I tell you about the roast dinner I...

Oh wait, I'm digressing... ;)

What is cool is when I make a "corset" with my hands, drawing the belly in and smooshing the sides...If I can lose 6" off my waist I will have a non-man shape, even if it's not quite Hollywood femme.

I have noticed that I have a *really* high waist, like 4" above my belly button...I can feel the hip bones so damn high. I'm hoping the changes I feel are a bit of fat, to round out the flat-as-a-board sides of my hips. But the wiggly feeling? I don't know. I'm not sure the hows and whys of bone hardening, so couldn't say if my age = no changes at all...

But hey, it's a Good Thing, whatever it is!!
