Title: stretched ears
Post by: wheat thins are delicious on February 22, 2011, 09:49:56 PM
Are you into stretched lobes?  Do you have them?

I think moderately stretched lobes are very attractive... On men AND  women. The size depends on the wearer's ears but anything over 1/2" is a bit much. I love my 00g tunnels.... they suit me and make me unique. There's this guy at work, though, that has 1 1/2" plugs that just look silly.

I've also seen double-stretched ears on women.. A 0g lobe with a smaller (maybe 6g) stretch just above is so unique and really sexy!!!

i tried when i was 12/13 and going through a punk stage. I didn't get them too big. It depends on who, everyones different, like I like certain facial piercings on some people that I wouldnt like on others. I think its cool though.

I think the bigger the better.

I have 00g in my ears right now but they still feel much too small for my liking.  I'm probably going to go 2"+

They're sexy. Mine are at 30mm. I'm thinking of going 1 1/4" (32mm).

If you decide to stop stretching them do they return to normal? Just posted for information.

If you go over size 0 you are risking the mod becoming permanent.  Anything larger than that will probably shrink if the jewelry is taken out but won't go back to "normal".  There are, however, simple surgeries available to close up a stretched ear.

I like em well enough, especially on certain people. I was briefly doing mine a few years ago but I got lazy and realized I liked my tiny little hoops too much. My girlfriend's been doing her's for a few months now and she's at a measly little 4 until she gets money to buy one of those long tapered ones. I'm trying to convince her to going to at least a 0 (I think it's look excessively cute on her) but apparently-in her words-'Her ears are too small'.

My left ear is stretched to round 5/6mm, I don't reckon I'll go any larger though I might stretch the other ear. I do lie freaking people at work by sticking random things through the hole though [evil face]

I think the right size can be really attractive on men.  I dont know the gauges, but I like about half an inch in diameter at most. Once the plug stretches the ear past the normal size I dont like it as much

I love them, im currently at 11mm. My current goal is 16mm (5/8") but I will probably go larger. I love them on other people too especially when they are larger.

When I was about 16 I thought it would be a great idea to get each ear pierced three times and to get a tattoo. I don't like all 7 now. My lobes used to be a 0g. The holes did shrink up. It's not much bigger than the non stretched one next to it.

I've been at 5/8" for about 3 years. When I wear my silicone tunnels it works perfectly as a pen holder.  I thought about going bigger, but then I realized I would have to buy all new plugs, and that gets expensive.

I used to have my second holes stretched to 00 but it just ended up looking weird. It made my earlobe bulge out oddly.

I think i'm done with mods in my ears, but I do want to get more tattoos.  I'm thinking of getting more added onto my left arm really soon.  Maybe thursday.

How did you stretch if you don't know what the sizes are?

I stretched mine to 1/2" in 2004.  A year later, in 2005, I decided I didn't like the look anymore, and haven't worn any jewelry in my earlobes since.  Going on 6 years now, the holes have shrunk considerably.  They look like small slits in my earlobes, the way a normal ear piercing looks if you've stretched it out a bit by wearing heavy ear rings.  I don't think anyone even notices that my ears are pierced because I never wear jewelry.  I can still fit about a 0 gage plug in the holes if I want to, though.

Check out the acrylic plugs from body art forms. They are super cheap and great for larger stretches.

Not a good material for a fresh stretch though.

I recommend taping for stretching.

I've got a pair of 2g holes - the original holes were too near the edge of the lobe, so the piercer told me I can't go any bigger, or I risk frostbite in winter (not enough blood flow to the edges).

I wear flared plugs in them - mostly semi-precious stone, like quartz, rose quartz, labradorite, tiger eye, aventurine (my favourite) - but they tend to get sore after a few days, so for a long while now I've worn these really nice dark green faceted glass ones from Maelstrom (http://www.maelstromstudiolab.com/). I like that the light shines all the way through :).

I don't dislike really big piercings on people, but I don't really like 'em either. And I just can't stand eyebrow piercings - they just look like staple repairs, I've yet to see one that was aesthetic.

When the stretched lobe thing started to get popular here ,i had a job in the welding and fabrication shop of a large factory. One of the girls who worked there came looking for stainless steel rod for earplugs. The first set i made were just 316 alloy tapered pins , eventually i made her a sett of 12 mm tunnels with O ring grooves ,They looked great on her but she started out with tiny ears .If you can find a stainless steel bolt with a short unthreaded section that looks really sick esspecially wit wingnuts, and those hardware store chain connectors , sweet. The eyebrow  piercing thing ,i ve noticed a few people whove had them for years get scarring that sort of kinks their brow line and looks weird .Some people could get both brows done then hang a curtain and really improve their looks. I gave up on my ears at 8ga because saftey rules at work didn`t allow metal jewlery due to electric  arc flash . The in out in out with the big rings got to uncomfortable . Igot f ing huge ears  ,so why draw attention
