Title: STPs, Packers and more. The one stop review shop!
Post by: trapthavok on August 23, 2008, 10:57:30 PM
I figured Asher's thread about posting Binder reviews was a great idea, why not have a matching thread for your bottom half? Ha.

I ordered a STP from DJ's about a week ago.
I wanted both a packer and an STP in one, annnd not many places have those in my skintone so I ordered special order from DJ for about $90. WHOO the price hurt, but I though I wouldn't find it anywhere else... AND it's 4 inches like I wanted it :)

Oh, plus I was looking at the cheap 12 dollar STPs at first from uhh FTM U-Tube and they pretty much were condescending in their emails so they don't deserve my money. Yeah, I'm one of those. Bad customer service? I'll go somewhere else.

So here's my specs --

Item: STP/Packer 2-in-1
Price: $90, special order but there are usually cheaper options.
Size: 4 inches
Color: Dark chocolate brown
Pictures: My pictures will be posted when it gets here.
Optional Equipment: Does it come with a harness? No, I'll probably buy one from MANgo.
Advantages: I like the two in one packing and peeing option. I'm not going to let anyone see it, so I'm not really worried about the "passing" part.
Disadvantages: DJs doesn't sell with a harness, and the link he has to buy a harness elsewhere...doesn't really work.
Company Review/Customer Service: Djs wasn't very prompt with their response time but they were very helpful and willing to go out of their way to make me a satisfied customer.
Other Info:

I'll have a better review when my packer actually gets here, say...better disadvantages and advantages as to how the product itself works.

If you've got an STP, you can add or subtract from the format accordingly, same with a packer or home-made packer.

You can copy and paste this one:

Item:       Do you have an STP non-packer, a purchased packer, a home made packer, etc?
Company:  Which company did you purchase it from? And if it's home made, you can substitute this with "how to make" instead if you're feeling generous.
Where to order:   The site you ordered it from, or where you can find the stuff you need to make it if its home made, ie  Walgreens, CVS....
Price:     How much did you have to pay for everything in total?
Size:     If you have a U-Tube, or non packer STP how big is it? In inches or cm. If you have a packer, same question.
Color:   Probably better question for the packers than the STPs but hey whatever.
Pictures: [of the equipment to get a feel for what it looks like up close, how long/big it is to see if it's pocket sized, esp for the STP only type. NOT so much for showing how it looks on you, that's...kinda rated R I would feel]. <<< Self explanatory. Put measuring tape next to it if its a non-packer STP or your arm, something relative, so we can see how big it is.
Optional Equipment: Does it come with a harness? Does it come with any other additional features? Can you buy it from the same place? If it's just a non-packer STP can you buy more than one at a time? Is it cheaper to do so (like how its cheaper to buy 3 packs from underworks)....
Advantages: Does it work well? Are you satisfied with it?
Disadvantages: Could there be any improvements to the product?
Company Review/Customer Service: Did they have good customer service? Where they prompt? Would you buy from this company again based on the product?
Other Info: Are you happy with it or should we go somewhere else? Any additional comments can be added here too.

The thread can stop here if it's a bad idea, I just wanted to see if we could help other bros out who were interested in starting to pack, or their other packing options.

Add what exactly? The site for the STP packer I posted above? Cause  there's more out there not just that one.

By the way, there are a lot of non-working links on that page...don't know how often you guys check em.

Susans has over 5000 transgendered related links on the Main Page https://www.susans.org
we welcome any T related links (no porn or sex sites)  if by chance you run into a non-working link or "parked link" please use the "report" button so we can review it, and take action.

links you post within a thread are not linked into our database. so the only folks who see that link are the ones who happen to read your thread.

The links in our database are scanned by search engines  that use the description and keywords to come up with their hit list.

This is how most of us found Susan's, I know that i was just looking for information on google, at some point found the  main page   (http://susans.org) and from there the forums.

By adding your link you help build a valued resource used by many transgendered persons. In particular many questioning persons who are desperate for accurate information and resources.

Add what exactly?

Any link you feel helpful to your fellow transgender persons.

You'll want to ad the DJ Knows Dicks link to FtM Prosthesis.

I have removed several links from this thread which were in violation of the TOS.  Review our link policy here (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,2.0.html) before posting.  Thank you.

Quote from: TOS/Site Rules1. We do not allow the advertising of other web sites or chats on Susan's Place with the exception of the Susan's Place Transgender Web Directory which is listed on the main page of this site. This prohibition includes chat, forums, and the wiki.

There are six exceptions:

Links listed added by the chat staff to the Transgender bot(TGBot) in our chat

Users on the chat may give other users links to their photographs and personal websites.

Links to the source of news stories posted In the News forum which is located under the Transgender Talk section of the forums

You may link to your personal web site in your forum profile, and forum signature which is shown at the bottom of your forum posts.

Links to the event web site for more information in the Calendar of events.

Site staff may at their discretion provide links to other web sites, in order to provide informational resources to Susan's Place users, this is a privilege I feel that they have earned. If you are interested in this ability volunteer for the Chat, Forums, Links, or Wiki.

This is done for several reasons the main one being spam prevention. It also helps us to ensure that the sites Susan's Place links to are family friendly. To recommend sites for inclusion in the links area, simply find the category that the link best fits, and click the 'Add Link' text at the top of the page. You do not have to be the owner of the web site to submit it for listing.

Phooey. Is it against the rules for people to post places they know of? 'Cos I suck at finding this stuff. :P

Yes, it IS against the rules, Elwood.  Do a google search, enter what you are looking for, and voila... you should be able to get a list of choices.  You can also check the links at the main page here:

Elwood
You can put a "susans" link into a post

the way it must be done is

go to the main page   http://susans.org

find the desired link's "more info" page, copy that url

then paste the "Susans" url into your thread

https://www.susans.org/Female_to_Male/FTM_Prosthesis/7632.html (https://www.susans.org/Female_to_Male/FTM_Prosthesis/7632.html) Thanks to Nate!

this will guide the guest reader to a link that we have have reviewed for acceptable content.

as this is a link of Susan's Place Transgender Web Directory  it would be in compliance with the TOS.

If you have a favorite link that we don't have please let us know or hit the add link button.

The rule is likely there because at some point someone abused the privilege.

Um...not trying to be rude, just understand. What about all the other non-news related posts that have links in them...?

If you would be so kind as to let me know where those links are, I promise I will look into them and take action provided that they are in violation of the TOS.
