Title: Intersex on Grey's Anatomy
Post by: Luc on August 06, 2006, 11:38:25 PM
Okay, so I was watching a rerun of Grey's Anatomy tonight, because I can never get enough of Katherine Heigl, and there was a girl on it who came in because of a growth on her ovary, though on closer examination it turned out to be a testicle. It was discovered the girl was a hermaphrodite, and after 14 years of feeling like she was just, well, wrong, the girl found out she could really be a boy, and was elated. Man... I wish I were that lucky. To be able to choose... I can't imagine how amazing that would be.

I saw that episode to night as well.  Quite by accident though.  It was really well done I thought, considering that is is a TV drama.

I remember as a teenager wishing I was IS or that I would at least "grow" a vagina.  It didn't happened...yet.  The problem is I never associating all of these feeling with being TS, because I had no idea what TS was.  Now I do. :)
