Hi David, glad you signed up.

I would say there is nothing "wrong with you," but you certainly are questioning your gender identity.

There are lots of resources here, and plenty of people who have had similar experiences.  Hopefully we will be able to point you to useful information for your own education, and perhaps therapists who can help you explore these issues.

Welcome.

A lot depends on when and why these feelings come about.

If you wear female or feminine clothes and that fact arouses you, then you would be a crossdresser... which, in my opinion, is not really worth coming out about. If it is just for fun, then the similar label of transvestite may apply.

As for the being female in games, and watching Sailor Moon... well, plenty of guys watched Sailor Moon and just don't talk about it, and many guys are female in their RPGs or shooters. This is generally for the aesthetics - the girl characters are often just nicer to look at than the guys are. However, arousal may be present as well, though that would be the minority of cases.

Your interests and hobbies don't make you transgender. If you are trans... then it will be because you feel strongly that you are a woman, and because being male is very uncomfortable for you. If being called "he" offends you, if you hate how you sound (if you sound very masculine), and if you hate how you look (if you look very masculine), then those might be good clues to watch out for. If you want to integrate into society with people calling you "she", then you should probably look into it.

On interests and hobbies... if I am doing something, then it is a girl's hobby because I'm a girl and I'm doing it. Stereotypes on how women and men should behave really do make quite a mess.

Physical things aside... the differences between men and women are smaller than one may believe.

Being transgender isn't very fun, and it's not something I would wish on anyone. If you are... then you need to take care of it as best and as swiftly as fits you. It is an occasion of sorrow when someone discovers they're trans, and that they need to transition... however, let there be no mistake that, putting that sorrow aside, there is a remarkable amount of hope and light to be found in knowing that things can get better, and that the darkness can be defeated.

Do what makes you happy, in the end, and go no further than you want to. If you do transition... it doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. Sometimes, people only need a few things, or most things, but not always everything done.

ware girls bras it made me a litte happy. as for my feelings it comes in waves and if I watch a  move with drama in it. it will hit me so hard And all most make me cry and i don't get emotional most of the time. when I play girls in game it feels so right and I don't dress them in skimpy clothing.  thank you for your welcome to the website.

I hope you find some use of the postings here... I will say, though, that if you plan on posting a lot, you should try to type with better grammar, punctuation, spelling, and clarity. It makes people more likely to reply to you, it allows you to be taken seriously (and not thought of as one of the million users with less than 50 posts), and is generally more pleasant to look at and read.

I don't like having to decypher something that was supposed to be written in English.

This is just advice for forums in general, as unlike an instant messenger or texting service, you have no character limit, and have all the time in the world to compose a post. It's not really all that much effort, either.

Hey david

The type of video games or what you watch doesn't determine what gender you are.  Sailor Moon is awesome no matter your gender.  The same with video games. ;)

My best advice to you is to just take a look around and read other people's stories to find out what you are within.

Best of luck to you!  :)

Welcome David. I think Kelly makes some good points in her first post. You should also remember that you dont have to be all male, or all female. You can be both, and that is O.K. too. I also agree that this is a pretty big decission, and you should be sure before you do anything. Susan's has a lot of great resources. Look around, and ask any questions you have. I look forward to learning more about you.
