Emerald, I think you'll pass once HRT kicks in more, and if your hair was long and down to make you seem softer.

Thanks LearnedHand hopefully I will be on higher doses soon, My hair reaches past the base of my neck at the moment but since it curls up at the ends it seems shorter then it is. Also I had just had a shower when I took those pics so it is combed back and wet and curling up already :(

I do want it much longer though just no pleasing me sometimes XD

3 and a half months on low dose hrt. Not seeing much change still but then I know it is still a bit early to see much change on said low doses.

EDIT: Adding a side shot since I tend to avoid them, not very clear or flattering but might give a better idea of my face/head profile. If I had one like this pre-hrt I would add it but I do not.

Again please DO NOT QUOTE.

Gawd that double chin besides that and my stomach I am fairly skinny promise.

You have almost no brow ridge!  And a female range forehead.  Good basics.

Okay, here are two pictures from a week ago. I should be starting hrt in about five weeks. Any feedback is appreciated. I'm not wearing any makeup in these.

Planning trachea shave in december and getting my broken nose fixed next year hopefully sooner. Currently working on laser hair removal on face. Hurts a bit more than shaving but only for a minute instead of hours... can't wait for the 6th session results.

For some reason the images aren't coming up so I am putting the links also.

OK, I can see the pictures.  Are just about to start HRT?

Things to work on: a couple of the basics

Thin the eyebrows, preferably from the bottom, working up.  Give them a nice arch.

You look like you will need electrolysis or laser.

Your glasses somewhat obscure your brow - can't say about that, but you may need some FFS.  Let the hormones work their magic.

Your best bet to get helpful commentary are face-on, 3/4, and profile views.  That's what you would do for virtual ffs.

Like lots of people at the beginning of the journey I'm curious if I'll pass someday.  Thought I'd see if anyone has any constructive criticism on that front?  Beard shadow is at the top of the list of things to tackle.

@shelby

As far as I can tell there is no reason you wouldn't pass someday :)

Suggestions--

Well the obvious are shadow and brows, also makeup.

I don't know about the Dolman sleeves on the top, they might accentuate your upper body a little much, and I think you should try out a top with an empire waistline!! :)

Ohhh yes. I bet you'll pass very well. I can see a beautiful feminine smile hiding behind that sideways glance ;) I assume it's a wig? Well it frames your face nicely!

+1 to what girl you look fierce said about suggestions. Learning how to do all of these things come with time, but you'll get there!

I think it is about passing. It's about making the outside match the inside. I have had trans people say to me "you can't say its about looking female, you are not doing it for that reason" or "it don't matter if you still look like a man, as you will feel female inside" Stupid!!

But, I already feel female inside (reason why I am changing my gender), but I still look like a man in ladies clothes.

If I should not be doing this to change my body to a females, then I may of well not of spent £2000 at a clinic or had any HRT at all!!

If there are any people on here who don't really mind if they don't pass or feel that it should NOT be about passing then thats fine, but I am sure that for most trans people, they say they want to be able to pass like a born female or born male.

Thanks Jenny and thanks again girl you look fierce!
It is a wig, my hair is in the awkward middle stage of growing out where it seems almost impossible to do anything with.  I'm hoping by the end of the year to be past that.  Now to tame some brows and stop being so conservative with makeup  :)

Your eyebrows look good to me, Shelby. Thick, low brows on women are fashionable these days. Maybe if you feel like it, you can get them lightened a few shades instead. It'll make them less strong, but then you get to keep the thickness they're at, which is really nice in my opinion. :)

If you are looking for advice on how to shape brows, I found this one to be particularly helpful:

I agree w/ kyh though, keep em thick towards the middle at least- and then add some arch by taking some out from underneath according to the right shape. All the GG's will be jealous of your luscious BROWS ;D

Sorry, hon, that is a most un-Susan's like thing to say. People shouldn't have their lives described as "If you want to, that's fine. You seem to be saying that your way is right, and others are just acceptable. I  don't wish to sidetrack this thread, carry on! Hugs, Devlyn

Oh yes Jennygirl, I wish there was some way I could even grow thicker brows to be able to do that with. You may have noticed that my avatar has generally been about pretty eyes and eyebrows? Some girls here fuss about getting a more girlie shape, I want some eyebrows in the worst way, all I have are real sparse things and have to trim them at times lest I look like I have a few antennas. I hate my eyebrows... :'(
