The first one above is very big and prominent but you'll see the second one below which is small and subtle but you still can see it and when I touch it I really feel something there. When I look at other boys I see only one, how come me I have two? The first one above can be removed by trachea shave but what about the 2nd second one below? Am I the only one here to have 2 adam appleS? Is there a remedy to this cos I never wear beautiful necklaces and eternally have to wear shawl to hide my neck even in summer, annoying duh!  >:(

There are two ridges on your larynx. It's not abnormal. But it's too bad it's so prominent and I have no advice.

i've just felt my own neck, i too can "feel a 2'nd bump", so either it's normal, or we're both abynormal.either way i've made the firm decision to refere to lump #1 as adam & lump #2 as Eve. Eve can stay, but adam will befinately have to go! warm regards, Isabella

I second that - I have two.  Top one is predominant.  Very much so, unfortunately.:'(  Bottom one is not so noticeable.  I have to imagine that gen girls must have the bottom one too.

I have two as well, I can feel the second one, but it isn't as noticeable to the average eye.

I have the same two places where bumps could be -- thankfully the top one is nonexistent and the bottom is only noticeable if i feel up my throat :P.

I am begining to suspect a growing conspirecy, how do i know who to trust? could i be slowly going insane?...NO! it has to be them, the ether ran out 2 days ago, i've taken some of my meds even though they're always coming in different colors. could they be changing the labels around just to get to me, or maybe the've cracked my code & are carefully changing my notes when i go to inspect the mail? maybe i can throw them off if i take the meds completely at random @ different times on different days. if i go in for refills & tell them i have 8 bottles of extra blues, but have been out of the greens for weeks, this will surely throw them off their game! ohhhh...i'm definately going to get to the bottem of this. but u people, u watch ur backs, there r definately some really crazy people out there w/too much time on their hands...

It's looks like a normal male adams apple to me. It is possibly a bit bigger than most but it could be just the angle of the picture. I don't have an obvious adams apple which is one of my few lucky points along with my voice which didn't break either. I also have some bad points as well (see my posts in the other topics regarding the effects of HRT)

O_o
I never seen two adam's apples wow.

Then again I never noticed the existence of adam's apples until I was told about it.. then I started seeing it in almost everyone, but mostly online or tv, not really around here I think (although started noticing it more! maybe it's me).
But most people I know don't have it  and I don't go out of town a lot so no wonder I didn't notice it I guess.
It also seems to be a bit more rare in Israel I think.. or maybe just around here.. or I don't go out enough still

My bf has quite a large adam's apple but it's just one.

Sometimes I tried finding mine (I can touch it pretty easily, make me feel over-conscious about it but it might be normal female size and I just don't know it as I never touched another girl's adam's apple O_o, but I can't see it unless I twist my head in funny ways.. then I might see a tiny tiny little.. thing.. not even sure if it's round or not (think it is).

One of my friends, Tal, has a round thingy vibrating almost always when he speaks but otherwise it's almost invisible, I think it might just be the voice box, he has a bass voice but I don't think he actually has an adam's apple, probably just the larynx is showing.

Are you sure it's not thyroid cancer that might be there? go get it looked at! it could be something medical? although google seems to find results of people saying it' not really;

An Adam's apple is an enlarged larynx (voice box). Testosterone enlarges the larynx. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that straddles the area under the larynx. It's very unlikely she has cancer.

Wow.  I just Googled 'two adams apples' and Susans popped up.  Go figure.

Anyways, with the growth of my Adam's Apple over the last few months on T, I've taken to just... feeling my throat randomly, 'cuz of how different it feels with a larger lump there.  And I was surprised to find that I seem to have two lumps, the second being a bit smaller and below my Adam's Apple.  I guess it's normal enough (or at least not horribly unusual), since several people seem to have it.

Dude, Eryk... whatever you do, don't push on the adam's apple. Hurts like a mofo. Yes, I'm retarded. I was fascinated when I first noticed mine, and I had to see if I could move it up and down. Hurt for about an hour afterward.

There are, technically, three 'bumps' in the area of the larynx.

From the top there is the Hyoid bone, the Thyroid Cartilage (Adam's Apple) and then the Cricoid Cartilage (what you are calling the second Adam's Apple - or Eve). If you put your neck way back you may be able to see/feel the hyoid bone at the top of the neck above the Adam's Apple, but it isn't easy to feel/see. The Thyroid and Cricoid Cartilage are quite easy to find/feel in most men and is quite normal in both sexes.

Dude, Sebastien... whatever you do, don't tell me not to do something.  'Cuz I'll want to try it...   ::)

Actually, I already had the pleasure of pushing on it too hard (won't be doing that again) >.<

Thanks for the warning though.  Other people should definitely take heed...

I can remember (ages ago) trying to push it back in. I think I knew even then that it wasn't right being there.

I can't find a second or a third thing to touch there..
I can only feel one which seems kind of like a step from one soft pipe to a hard pipe..

Sometimes I wish that bump would have been smaller, even though nobody can ever see it, it just feels big @@..
