I've been looking for a prosthetic I can comfortably use for a while and have been eyeing the Peecock models off and on since their website opened. I was reluctant to drop the money on it, as the STP devices I've used in the past have not worked out, and while Reelmagik and other brands have great looking prosthetics, I wasn't too keen on the price of those, either. In short, I've been looking for something simple to use, comfortable, and realistic enough to help me with my lower dysphoria.
With a bit of saving, I managed to procure a gen 1 and gen 2 Peecock, and thought I'd do a review/comparison for you guys!
Long story short, I prefer the Peecock Gen 2 in all aspects. It works with my anatomy, making it the first STP I've been able to successfully use, is comfortable to wear without a harness, and looks pretty nice. The Peecock Gen 1 isn't a terrible packer, but it leaves something to be desired.
The detailed review:
I'm going to start with the basic features of the Peecock(s), and will move on to each feature(packing, STP, play, etc). I will also update with pictures to illustrate the comparisons between the two.
Peecock Gen 1:
-4 inches
-Light beige, though it's more of a bubblegum pink color which looks nothing like my actual skin color(I'm olive skinned, but didn't really have much of a color choice when I bought this).
-Comes with an erection rod for sex.
STP: I ran into the same trouble with this model as I have with almost all other STP devices: It doesn't work with my anatomy. No matter how it was positioned, I'd end up making a mess. The bit that you're supposed to place against you is too "straight", and I just couldn't use it at all. I honestly did try to find a way to make it work, but I had to call it quits.
Packing: I've had 4 inch packers before and they've been fine, but this one just wouldn't sit in my underwear right, even with a harness. It continued to stand straight out and just looked wrong, in addition to being uncomfortable to wear. The only way I could get it to look natural was to place the entire packer on it's side in my boxer briefs and leave it like that, which was not comfortable for me personally.
Playing: I haven't used it for playing, but I did test the erection rod to see how it worked in the packer. You do need to lube up the rod, but it slides in alright. The packer doesn't gain length from the rod, but the firmness seems safe enough for sex and the rod's design prevents it from falling out while you're doing anything. My only concern is that the tip of the rod comes a bit too close to the hole at the head for my liking, and I fear long term use could potentially force the rod to damage the packer/hurt someone if you get too carried away.
Appearance: While the Peecock Gen 1 isn't ugly, it's certainly not the best in terms of looks. The packer has nice little details, like an attempted skin texture, but I feel like the lines are too exaggerated. When buying this one, I knew it would not match my skin tone or look natural, but I was willing to try it anyway. Light beige seems to be a misnomer, at least in the case of this packer. It's very pink, not as pink as the Mr. Limpy, but it's certainly not light beige, either. It'd look nice on a lighter guy, for sure. The balls are more dimensional, but they aren't as flexible as the shaft and tend to get in the way more than anything.
Overall rating: 3.5/10 Others have had success with this run of the Peecock, but I'm not happy with it. Thankfully, a lot of the issues this packer had were addressed and corrected in its successor, which leads me onto the next part.
Peecock Gen 2:
-5 inches
-Light brown
-Comes with an erection rod for sex
STP: After a bit of practice, I was surprised that I was able to use this packer to STP with no problem. The reservoir is larger and curved to a point where it works with my current anatomy without being uncomfortable. I just tend to hold the scrotum against my body and leakage is nonexistent. I've practiced with this at home and then brought it out with me a few times for a test run. It works well, though it is a little hard to clean. I tend to rinse it really well when I get home because sometimes things remain, but otherwise it's nice!
Packing: The only 5 inch packer I've used is a Sailor, which I liked well enough, but I was worried about the packer being too heavy or looking like an erection. Thankfully, this wasn't the case at all. Because the packer is hollow inside, it's a little more flexible and looks natural once I put it in the right place. I tend to wear boxer briefs and boxers, and can wear it without a harness in the former. It's comfortable and just sits in place with minimal adjustment needed. I would have to use a harness for my boxers, of course, but I have not been able to try the harness option yet. The balls are not as firm as the ones of the gen 1, and I'm glad they aren't. They're solid enough to balance out the packer, but not so much that they hurt me when I wear it.
Playing: Again, I haven't used this for play, but I did test the erection rod. Just like before, a little lube is needed, but the rod slides into place fine. The rod for this one is larger, and when not inside the packer it tends to lean to the side a bit. When I place it into the packer, everything straightens out with no problem, but it's still worth noting. My concerns about the rod damaging the packer have been slightly put to rest, as the rod does not go all the way out the hole once inside the packer, but I'm also a nervous dude and still fear rippage were one to be too rough with it.
I also bought the pleasure kit addition, something that was not previously available to the gen 1. It's basically a ribbed sort of tab that snaps into the back of the erection rod, allowing the user more stimulation during sex. This part, I uh, did try. And I'm glad I got it. It's comfortable and is soft enough to prevent chafing or injury during play. Having the option to sort of feel things like a cis dude really helps with my own dysphoria.
Appearance: They've stepped up their game and have created something more realistic in terms of looks. It's no Reelmagik, for sure, but things have improved greatly. The shaft still has nice little veins and skin textures on it, but they are less exaggerated and look cleaner. The hole at the tip of the Peecock is now more of a slit, giving it a more polished/less terrifying look. I chose the light brown color for this packer, since the option was available to me, and I have to admit that I love it. There are no dyed/painted details, so the packer is a solid color, but it works well with my skin tone and matches the color name it's been given. Overall, it's an improvement on its predecessor and looks pretty awesome.
Overall rating: 8.5/10 - I can use this to pack and STP comfortably, and I'm sure I can use it for play with no problem if I want to. It's not perfect, and I think that Peecock Products is getting closer to something nice for guys to use. I'd pay extra to have painted details and all that fun stuff, but it's not an absolute necessity. I'm content with what I have right now and would highly recommend this if you're looking for something that's easy to use and comfortable without sacrificing looks. It's a bit expensive, especially when shipping from Asia is brought into the equation, but if one is to save up I would consider it a worthwhile investment.
This was my first review and I'm a bit messed up from my surgery earlier, so if I've left something out that you guys would like to know about, let me know. I'll add pictures soon!
