I have an all original J spec TT JZA80 i was planning to take to the strip when I get the chance, just to get some numbers.
Dunno about modding her though as she is all original...
Cool to see your work. Speed is an exhilarating thing, I think both Girls and Guys can get addicted

Christine,
Oh a modern Jap car, to much electronics for me lol.  I know some very fast girls and boys ;-)

Kim,
You better pull your bags off soon with the looming threat of closure to Shakey.   I did some RWYB with my old 66 Pontiac LeMans :-)

Yes!  Guilty as charged.  Was one of two bikes,  the other being a Ducati Panigale but unfortunately I had to let it go.

We ll had a 340 RT challenger then built a full tube Austin Devon with the Dodge engine (runs 11.5 at 120 ) a slingshot dragster 383 mopar powered with my friend and my daughter races  a vw beetle that runs 14.00 with a 1679 cc lump. For the bikers out there my youngest is the first one to have  junior drag bike RD125 twin powered that was evil on expansion boxes (bleeding ears!!!) and have built him a GS500 as a drag bike . Its a bugger about Shakey been going there since 79 .Well making the most of this year and watch out for Halloween as Davina will be going not my alter ego

+1 on American V8s. Haven't had a car for 15 years since I got free transport when I was a bus driver. Muscle cars are CEO & rock star prices now.
Used to go a lot to Shakey (think it was Long Marston then Avon Park), York raceway & Santa Pod in the 70s & 80s. Remember Dad taking me to the bike sprints at Little Bispham as a kid in the 60s & being fascinated by the weird & wonderful bikes.Did a bit of spannering on a work mates very fast Honda 4 with an 812 big bore kit & another mates Triumph Bonneville

Love the Cobra N! 289/427? or a Chevy. LOL  ::)  My first ride in HS was a '65 stang. My latest stang in storage is a '91 5.0 that I purchased new! I did heads/cam/upper and lower gt40 intake. Rear disk brakes because it came with drums. New drive shaft. Rear gears to 3:25. Transmission work. lowered the car 1 1/2 with progressive springs. New front disks that are vented etc..   From the other side of the pond ladies!

Well the beetle ran 14.3 @94 mph on third shake down run, weather was hot so that slows it but have cured bump steer.

Greetings, fellow lady gear heads from here in the colony's. Yes there are many of us here who also who enjoy the adrenaline rush generated by speed. Past history includes lots of two wheeled antics, road racing, flat track, and ice racing in the winter time.  As age marched on, the two wheels have been replaced with go fast boats, and cars. Running over 100 mph on the water is a rush, trust me! Present boat is a 26 ft. DCB catamaran, that is comfortable cruising at 50-60 mph but when the need for speed arises, oh boy! Built a 1934 Ford coupe pro street with a blown big block Chevy that was an absolute blast to drive, building vintage looking C1 and C2 Corvettes now with late model power and suspension. Looking into a vintage Formula Ford and road racing again, only on four wheels this time around. Whoever mentioned in the past that adrenaline is the most powerful drug known to mankind was so accurate.

Christine, Oh a Pony girl, I do love the early 60's and the current version.

Davina, Good to hear the shakedown went well. Have fun at the Pod.

Denni,  WOW a real petrolhead, sounds like you have your hands full.

I love me some Subaru WRX or WRX STI. :D My goal is to eventually own one, but I loved getting the chance to drive one. Very fun to drop the clutch at 3K on those cars. I didn't have a powerful car in the states, but my Subaru Legacy 2.5i was very fun to drive, and hugged the roads very well with a good set of sports tires. Even won a street race at one point with it at about 110 mph.

Laura _Ann  I sure am a pony girl. My first was a restored '65 stang.  Midnight black with a little red stripping on the sides. I have a pony tat on my shoulder to prove it. Love the old blue oval rides!
