"Bio-looking" bottom surgery (ideas)
« on: December 18, 2013, 08:20:59 pm »
I had this awesome idea about FTM bottom surgery while sitting in my car waiting for a friend, and luckily had just enough battery power in my phone to jot it down. Anyway, here is my idea.

In possible order of operations performed:
1. Metoidioplasty (clitoral skin and nerves used in glans penis)
2. Phalloplasty (graft taken from thigh/buttocks)
3. Glansplasty
4. Scrotoplasty
5. Saline erection pump/rod (with semi-malleable rubber rod on bottom of saline tube to enhance erection rigidity and penis girth)
6. Permanent electrolysis on phallus
7. Tattoo glans to match skin skin tone and add tattooed pseudo-veins
8. Soft under-skin implants could be used to make veins more visable when penis is erect

This would make the new genetalia more "bio-looking" and have erotic sensation.

I am not sure if the semi-malleable rubber rod on the saline shaft tube is already something that has been done. I am going to try to sketch a diagram of what it would look like and do. I'll add it to this post when I'm done.

Any insight would be appreciated. :)

It sounds good...I'd just like to be a fly on the wall when you call around looking for a tattoo artist to tackle your junk, lol.  :D

Vein implants are an interesting idea. Couple of thoughts on that: sounds like a job for a medical tattoo artist (or whatever they're called, the people who color surgically reconstructed nipples). Alternately, what if the vein implants are in color? If the color of the vein would show through the skin, might not need tattooing, or as much tattooing. I don't know anything about subdermal implants, so no idea if colored implants are even a thing they can do.

Is there a reason the electrolysis can't be done on the tissue donation site prior to harvesting/grafting? Sounds like it'd be less painful that way. And easier for the electrolysis operator (less awkward too, haha). Or does the electrolysis process do something to the tissue that makes it not good for grafting, so it has to be done after?

The colored implants idea is great. I am not sure if that's a thing they do already, either. Also, you're 100% right that the electrolysis would better be done before the surgery. I was too excited about my idea to realize how awkward it would be to get that done after surgery.

People get their junk modded and tattooed all the time! I have heard of post-op FTMs getting the glans tattooed, anyway. But yeah, I might be way too scared to even ask if someone would do it because I'm so shy. Who knows, maybe I'll get a confidence boost once I start T.

I like how you think.  Look upstream at this posting board, I've returned for an idea too.  Slightly less organic, but it achieves the true aesthetics of a 'real' look....

btw, the idea about silicon implants for that 'veiny' look - go there - I have and will be exploring that, fully, down stream.  We have implant concepts for a million other scenarios, including people who modify their dicks by making them ringed with massive cylindrical abrasive devices....

kind regards

I'm currently going through the insurance process to get phalloplasty (finally, that only took over a decade) but I'm intersex (never been tested but with junk like mine it seems like the obvious answer lol) with no desire to ever be mistaken for a dude, so my goals are a little different than yours (just thought I'd put that out there before I get misgendered- I got here via search engine looking for ways to modify my junk to make it look all pretty and feminine post-op. (I don't mind having a strapless, it just needs to look a hell of a lot prettier or I'll keep getting dysphoric everytime I look at it.)) However, I have a massive interest in body modifications (especially where they cross with gender stuff) and initially I was looking for new bits that worked more like my strapless (with a bit more, er, reliability and that look a little more, er, dyadic lol). So, basically I've had a good number of years to think about all of the stuff you're thinking about (and then some).

First off, your number nine is typically everyone else's number one. :P

Secondly, the veins thing can and has been done. (Though OMG I wish I'd thought of the coloured veins thing first. I have a friend who is going to be like, "Uh, Why didn't we think of that?") It looks pretty good. Since there's probably no protocol for how to do that one, let me suggest that you wait until you have full sensation again before doing that. Doing it before could potentially prevent you from regaining sensaiton where the "nerves" are implanted since nerve regrowth is a pretty fickle and delicate thing. It's hard enough for nerves to grow back, it's a whole differnet thing when they're stuck trying to grow around silicone. Also, get someone who is experienced with implants and who already knows what a phalloplasty is and how shit works for best results.

As far as your idea of a saline erectile device on top of the rigid one (the thing that got me to actually comment here).... well, the first thing I thought was, "DAMN THIS PERSON HAS MONEY TO THROW AROUND!" But then I realized that you might not be aware you were tossing like $20K at what is at best is an almost imperceptible difference and at worst is no difference at all. The thing is that the skin that gets used in a graft is a lot thicker that the skin on a cis dude's member. It just doesn't allow for the same expansion and stretching. You might want to consider putting that money into a scar reduction fund instead.

I mean, I guess technically I can think of one way you could *maybe* get junk that expands post surgery.... my brain is too tired and fried at the moment to hash out the details and figure out if it would actually work.

The things I posted are just ideas. I definitely do not have money to throw around, and I am nowhere near having any kind of surgery or hormones financially. I think the realm of sex reassignment surgery has a lot of expanding to do, and by the time I am actually able to get anything done, will have made improvements. What you said about the skin being much thicker due to the area from which the graft is taken may or may not be completely accurate. I believe it really depends on where the graft is taken from as well as the person who is having the procedure done. Forearm skin is going to be thicker than skin from the underarm/chest area or skin from the inner thigh.

I'm not sure if you know, but the saline erectile device is not my idea. People who undergo phalloplasties often have this added rather than or after the semi-rigid rod. Here's a picture of a 3-piece inflatable implant:

I'm not a doctor or able to give any medical advice but I do work in a medically related field.... so yes, I know the implant isn't your idea... but I've yet to come across a trans guy with both two, so that one is your idea as far as I know.

I still don't think you're going to see the difference you're hoping for. The skin is still not the same and all types of flaps currently in use are still *way* tighter than a cis dude's cock. I could give you the Dexter explanation of how I know this, the far too intimate explanation, or the medical journal explanation but either way, it's still thicker skin than what the designers of the inflatable prosthesis likely had in mind when they designed them. It's adaptable but the benefits are kind of diminished. The surgeon I've been talking with has previously said the same thing as well.

I understand that the skin will be thicker. I am not saying there should be a rod along with the saline erection device implanted. I just had an idea for a new type of device that had a rod with very little malleability attached to it to give the penis the shaft underneath. Again, these are just ideas. What surgeon are you looking to get your phalloplasty done with?

I personally don't see why they can't a lot of the male enhancements for our benefits.with at least a year on T pre meta, why can't they just enlarge said and widen the canals to allow more blood flow.strengthen any muscle mass and these will allow a larger cliterus and with the ability to penetrate.then all that's needed is routing of the urethra, closing and scrotum creation.because the clit is just like a penis, just smaller and softer.can't wait for them to start some real work :D good ideas though.
