Avid cyclist here. Shave legs and all, LOL! Mostly road but last year discovered the joys of gravel, bought a gravel bike, and haven't looked back. Two carbon road bikes, one steel road bike, one mountain bike, one city commuter, one gravel bike one steel road bike "on loan" to a son, a cross bike "on loan" to a daughter, N+1. My wife rides too. I usually do a couple of centuries a year, both metric and imperial but this year didn't manage one.
When my gender issues really get me down, a good hard ride really helps. It's really hilly around here, any gravel ride over 60 km is going to involve at least 1000 metres of climbing on grades up to 20%
