Dream Date Discussion
« on: August 01, 2017, 12:19:14 pm »
Given that I'm going through a difficult time right now I want to take about something happy and positive and romantic.

I want to hear about what would be your dream date, be it with a partner, a friend, a non-romantic life partner, etc...

Just be sure that if the night ends with a little winkwink don't be too graphic, because there are minors present on the forum.  ^-^

Keep in mind, this is DREAM....like assuming you had infinite amount of funds, infinite time, stuff like that...And GO!

---

I have a LOT of dream dates, so I'll just start with one of the more out there ones!

I would love to whisk my girl away somewhere without telling her. A nice pretty beach with white sands and cozy weather....I'd try to distract her while I got to the room and lay out a little black dress that fits her style of clothing, and new diamonds and sprinkle the bed with rose petals.
We'd dress up and go to a super fancy restaurant close to the beach and then we'd carry our dress shoes and walk barefoot on the beach after sunset, watching the waves....In the ideal setting the moon would be full and high and light up the sky and lots of stars would be  out. We'd look for seashells and if she got chilly I'd give her my coat.
We'd kiss under the stars before heading back to the hotel. We'd take a nice fancy bubble bath together with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. Then we'd retire, (No winkwink needed, but always welcome.) and snuggle up and listen to calming music as we drift off.

....I might be a hopeless romantic. I'll tell more as people start to post....But DO IT! TELL ME THE DREAM THINGS!

We watch Netflix. Something with lots of jump scares. She doesn't know that I watched the movie before, and I scream right before each one and ruin it. I find this amusing. She finds it strangely endearing.

I get up to pee and end up playing games on my phone for at least 10 minutes. She asks if I am pooping. I say maybe.

She pets my dog, which is good because then she has no hands free to eat the rest of her pizza. I eat the rest of her pizza. It has mushrooms, and this disappoints me. Liking mushrooms is a huge character flaw.

When the pizza is gone, I take the dog for a walk. When I come back, she is sprawled across the whole couch. I ask her to make room, and she says no. I warn her that if she does not move, I will fart on her. She does not move.

I get tired after all the pizza and screaming and farting, and I go to bed. She comes in, lays down, leans in really close, and whispers "taxation is theft". We high five.

Romantic as heck.

Oh I didn't say that. It's just that Dena is right, you are all guy. Lol.  Actually your date idea isn't as bad as one date I had. He asked me if I would like some cheese and fruit so I said sure. He gave me an apple and and a Kraft single in it's plastic wrapper. No joke. I couldn't help it, I started laughing. He didn't appreciate it either. So then his dog jumped onto my lap which was ok. But then she peed on me! Ewww.  There was no second date. Lol

I hope you were like, at his house and he wasn't just carrying around a Kraft single. Actually, I hope he was. That makes the story better. Maybe I will start carrying around cheese slices in case I need an option for a quick romantic gesture.

My dog hasn't peed on anyone since he was a smol pupper, so you're probably safe there.

But the mushrooms. Come on. They are slimy. Their texture is awful. They have no taste by themselves and are therefore useless. And did you know that the FDA legally allows 19 maggots and 74 mites per 3.5oz can of mushrooms? NO THANKS, SISTER. YOU CAN KEEP THEM.

Yuuuummmmm mushroms. Slice them thick then gently brown them in butter or olive oil. Use them in an omelet or add them to beef stroganoff. Little morsels of heaven.

Not really, I am old enough to be Julia's grandmother. Besides that, Julia is into boys and I haven't figured out what I am into.

That is an awesome date!!!  I've had a few like that and do very much hope for a few more.  You'll find the beach on the leeward side of Kauai'i The diamonds are the sparkle of your eyes as you pour champagne.  Makes me wish I wasn't old enough to be your grandmother.   ;)
I began this journey when I began to think, but it took what it took for me to truly understand the what and the why of authenticity.  I'm grateful to have found a path that works and to live as I have always dreamed.

The dates are unimportant and are quite stale now.  The journey to truth is fresh and never ends.

My dream date begins on the Grand Canal shortly after dawn in late June with my date feeding me a sugar cube dipped in espresso.  We share bread, coffee, and cheese as Venice comes alive walking hand in hand without an immediate destination.  He kisses me and smiles, as from his jacket he pulls tickets to a private backstage tour of Teatro La Fenice.  While my Italian is sufficient to order a meal and find the bathroom my date translates the history of the Italian Opera as we walk through the dressing rooms, the sets, the sumptuous private boxes.

Before leaving we listen to a rehearsal of La Boheme.  Puccini's arias bring tears to my eyes with their beauty and the majesty of grand opera, even while in rehearsal.  Perhaps more so as the soprano is consumed with the passion of the music and the passion of interpretation and the tenor sings Che gelida manina... with such intensity that tears of joy flow freely down both of our cheeks.

We have a late lunch on the Piasa San Marco, watching the tourists and the dance of youth in love, before retiring for love making and a bath at Santa Maria del Giglio where we have a suite.  As the sun begins to set we dress elegantly and are serenaded by our gondolier as we quietly travel the canals to a midnight dinner and dancing until the coming of another dawn.

Haha! I try. I guess being FTM I just have that whole mentality of how I would like to be treated by Men...even though I prefer being the man and doing the spoiling I still have the mentality. I like going shopping with a girl and buying her makeup and clothes...I'm really good at picking things out too.
My ex, who I'm currently talking too again...
We went to a convention and it was the weekend after Valentines Day (we were long distance at the time)....I got to the hotel before she did so I set everything up. I had a few of the things that I mentioned in my first post, pink petals, a dress (but it was white lace)....the exact lipstick and nail polish she had wanted in a wooden jewelry box and a giant stuffed tiger.
I took her red lobster, because that's where she wanted to go...Figured out I was allergic to shellfish and almost fell asleep in the bubble bath...We got out...I passed out. I felt like a guilty little doo doo head the next day...Good times.

This sounds soooo romantic  :-* omg. Wish there were more guys like you, mac!!

Julia and FTMax need to go out together. Lol

My perfect date would be a walk to the beach at sunset, and coffee shop date to talk. Or a movie. I love to discuss movies.

Wow Mac. Your like the perfect guy. From my experiences so far with my dad, brother and boyfriend, a man who's cool expressing his feminine side is rare. Don't underestimate the value of that to a woman. I think all guys have a feminine side to some extent, they just won't admit it and totally would never act on it. The fact you can identify colors is great too. Most guys don't have that ability. To them there are no shades.  Everything is just straight up blue, red, etc. Lol. And if you're willing to actually shop with your girl you are even farther ahead. You have to drag most guys shopping and even if they go they start asking "can we go now" ten seconds after walking in the store. Any girl you date will be lucky.
