"Keeping" & fully functional?  Two totally different questions. Plus through in the age factor, and add in the brain factor(s) of how much of a horn-dog you are to start with.

I know how badly my wife wants me to be "functional". We did have some great times in bed as well as other places  :o  During my On/Off low-dose HRT brain rescues in the past, I always needed to stop due to "The Prime Directive", otherwise known as being a normal(ish) guy. When things started to take a hit below the belt, I stopped HRT since their primary job was finished. Now on full feminizing dosages of both E and an AA for 8 years it has been all but completely dead, shrinking and shriveling up for some time now. Only starting to breath a little when I start fantasizing too much about them not there and with a b/f

YMMV

WELL I will be busy woman again my disposition/hormones.   Thanks for posting.  Appreciated.  I guess it is hit or miss.  Some have function some don't.  My sex drive is through the roof so maybe that will help.  I am crossing my fingers.

I am on full transition doses of Estradiol Pellets and Progesterone. I was on Spiro until recently. My doctor told me I no longer need spiro. The other 2 will keep the T low. I have always been fully functional. Waking up nightly with an erection has slowed since starting still but still woke up with erections now and then. In the beginning of hrt the amount did go way down. And now it's still every once and a while. Before hrt I needed release all the time. Now I don't need the release. Maybe once every month to every 2 months if that. If my wife wants it. It will work just fine. And even if it doesn't work for you viagra works good. It's all about if you want it. Just my opinion. If I want it to work it will. If I don't want it to it won't. I have control now. As before I did not. Hope this helps.

What a great response thanks.  I will mention that to here.  Thank goodness my drive is through the roof. Viagra will help if needed.  Thanks so much for taking time to share this.

cheers.

I think I may be starting spiro again. The erections are starting to come back and I am not thrilled about them at all.

I found stopping, or even cutting back some, on the spiro will result in more of my semi-erections after a few weeks. When I completely stopped spiro after 4 years on E & P, my T levels slowly creeped back up to low-normal male after a year :-(
