@Jessica
Earthquake up here in Alaska  (7.8 magnitude)  yesterday Wednesday...
Down on the coast in the Aleutian Islands and too far away from me to cause any damage but I did feel a shake or two....

My garden is going nuts and the weeds are going nuts too!!!

How is your harvest coming along?

Danielle

I hope everything's gonna be ok :O  That said, that's a beautiful picture, too, never seen anything like it.

The smoke was better for awhile, but has come and gone and come back again several times now.
Just hoping for lightning free clouds full of rain.

May I share my biggest disappointment in the hour?
You will relate Danielle....

Dear Jess:
I am so very glad to read that you are coping OK with the smoke... have you gotten any rain yet that will clear the air?

Regarding your Heath Bar disappointment....   I almost never get down to just ONE candy bar left in my cupboards.
I always has a small stock of Heath Bars and Snickers and other chocolate treats at home and at my office...    plus, the next door coffee shop sells them if I am running out while at work.

HUGS,
Danielle

Eeek,  That is terrible.  I suffered from Gal Stones back in 2015.  I ended up having my Gal Bladder removed.  It was so painful and extremely uncomfortable, when I was having an attack.'  One the possible causes of them was "estrogen" but this was before I was on prescribed HRT too.

Gal Bladder was removed via outpatient surgery, but the recovery process was still uncomfortable.  I couldn't get up from a laying down position for a couple of days, slept in my daughter';s old recliner that I brought down to the family room prior to surgery.

Thank you Danielle and Myranda 🌸🌸🌸
My wife needed to spend three nights in the hospital.  They found stones in her bile duct as well and she had back to back procedures on Saturday to remove them and her gall bladder.  She was told that she needed to pare back the fatty foods even more than she has done already.
The discomfort she is feeling now is from the surgery (laparoscopic) which is far less than the acute pain she had.

This happened with no warning and she knew immediately she needed to go to the hospital.
I can’t imagine if we lived far away from a hospital or didn’t have healthcare that was covered by a $50 co-pay.  There are so many folks in the US that fear for their lives without proper healthcare and many have the notion that healthcare is only an option if you can afford it personally.  With the way so many have lost their insurance because they lost their employment from the CV-19 shutdown.  There should have been more consideration for the small businesses who are failing and not give the bulk of the stimulus to big corporations that have the resources to survive.

Hi Jessica, thanks for letting us know how she's doing. My son, 35 years old, had stones. Fortunately they passed, but they thought his might have been due to the electrolytes he was taking. He lived in Singapore at the time and they do a lot of sweating there! I'm glad they could get the surgery done quickly and that you have good insurance. Best wishes for smooth healing.

I always ask, "Who doesn't need healthcare?" Why should it have anything to do with where you work, or don't work? It's kind of like electric and water utilities -- everybody needs it and benefits from it. Those who can pay, do. Those who can't get (hopefully) assistance or live in a shelter. A few eschew it altogether and live in homeless encampments and that is their choice, but their quality of life is challenged.
