Doctor appointment Monday.
Labs better but I still think the estrogen is too low. Asked about increasing snx she is agreeable but we are holding off until after surgery.

From progress notes on mychart that my doctor shared with me, I found out something about my surgery that is either really awesome or potentially bad.
Insurance PA is expiring on 01/17/20 and some one has me down for that date for my surgery. I've no conformation of that from anywhere and from what I've gathered its quite unlikely that the surgeon can fit me in then or before. That would throw it back to the insurance and then who knows. I sent yet another message to the surgeon saying I was confused. I know they're understaffed there so hope I'm not seeming like a pest about it.

Couple things going on this week.  Holiday party for our apartment complex that I'm actually not working during so we've planned to go.

Thursday is Christmas on the Avenue a benefit concert for the local nonprofit radio station that's always on in my car.  It's part of Dan Rodriguez's "All I Want For Christmas Is Whiskey" tour.

Friday we fly to Phoenix for what will be a rather emotional couple of days.  Had to burn up some vacation days and this is the only time that fit with everything. Reason for going is to visit my step dad. His cancer has come back and has been told its not going away this time.  The timing is such that we will be there on what would have been my mom's 81st birthday on Saturday. The funeral home that her service was at has a holiday service for the families they served during the year, and it happens to be on Saturday.

Throw the usual bits of dysphoria on top of the stress of waiting for the surgery to get scheduled, the upcoming weekend and the first Christmas without my mom and I've been an emotional wreck lately.

Here's my HRT levels since forever if anyone is interested

Thanks Pammie and Maddie.

In Milwaukee having lunch with the youngins before we head to airport.

Christmas concert last night, Dan Rodriguez All I Want for Christmas is Whiskey  tour.

Bought a couple CDs after which Dan signed for us.

Knew the song in the link below was coming but of course I still cried through the whole song.

Squee.

July 8th is the day I will need to learn how to pee again.

A reserved squee since it's later than I was hoping for and will need to go through insurance approval again. Our plan year runs June 1 to May 31 so its possible a new plan will need to approve it.

Well, I’m not reserving it.

SQUEEEE!!

BTW, peeing isn’t the problem. Keeping your butt dry... that’s a problem. It is, as @HappyMoni says, “messy pees.”

Yes, what I meant was learning how to pee with out making a mess.

And thank you

I think my doctor said it would be 6 months  (maybe it was a year even) before all the swelling is gone and things healed before the stream would go straight down.

Hoping for no more drama.  One positive of the July date and insurance renewal in June is that I should be able to opt for the lower deductible plan to lower my out of pocket costs. I'll have to run the math of higher premiums vs the lower deductible when open enrollment comes up.

PS

Love the new avatar pic

I know i haven't posted here in awhile but if anyone is still watching or remembers,  I had my surgery with Dr Gast in Madison on Wednesday. Shallow vaginoplasty,  dressing came off this morning so should be leaving hospital today.
