Is it possible to make a handmade site for a newbie?

Want to have and develop in future the ones about computer games. Sadly I don't have much experience with such things and employing a web designer is too expensive in my case... Solutions?

You can do a web search for free website builders. If you use one of those free websites with a builder, you don't need to know about program languages such as HTML. The only thing you might not like, is that most of them do not permit hot-linking, which means you would not be able to sell anything.
I once had an HTML website that cost me about $120 per year. I never did manage to make enough money to warrant paying for the site, so I let it go.
