Finding who I am.
« on: December 30, 2018, 12:26:58 am »
The other night I watched that short flim on the title page of the website here. I noticed the girls name was Allie... I tossed and turned for nights with that stuck in my head. I finally built the courage to ask my mom what she would have named me as a girl. She told me Devon, but she said do not use that name because it was a woman my dad had been seeing. When I was a year old my mom and dad split up, and my dad stole all of my baby items my mom had saved. After I asked my mom, I went through the box and found a baby name guide. I told my mom and she told me to look through it until it the name comes to me. After looking at hundreds of names I decided on the name Ally. I told my mom and she sent me a heart emoji.

My dad well he says he accepts me  to my face, and then I found out from my stepmom today he will probably never accept me. It kind of breaks my heart to know some people cannot be honest with their feelings. Idk maybe he didn’t want to tell me because he would hurt me more. I am not sure I just need to stop over thinking when I feel emotions lol.

On a brighter note my name is/will be Ally.

Hi Ally

Love the name...I would sooner they be honest with me...I can usually sense their dishonesty...even though they may actually be trying to”spare” you it sometimes doesn’t feel that way.

Take care

Liz

Ally - I am sorry that you are experiencing some rejection it must be painful.  A few thoughts that I hope bring some comfort.  Although he is telling you one thing and your Mom another at least the rejection is not outright - unabashed rejection ( never talk to me again kind of thing ).

Maybe he will come around.  From your description I would say probably.  It is a surprise for people and some need more time than others to deal with it.

Regardless of if or how much he evolves you have to live as the authentic YOU.

Peace
Kim

Good day Ally!  I like this name a lot, I never met a Ally before!

The closest I come is my favorite niece, and her name is Alison!  And ally reminds me a lot of her!

Hello Ally, I think that sounds great!
