Favorite YouTube Channels?
« on: April 19, 2018, 01:01:04 pm »
Sometimes when people are bored (or procrastinating lol) they will pull up YouTube and watch a few (hours?) of video content to pass the time. Below are some of the channels that I frequently watch when I don't want to complete that assignment that I should be completing lol.

I am just going to post videos from some of the channels, and if they peek your interest then check them out!

Don't know how to post YouTube videos? It is super easy! Simply copy the entire URL, and then past it in the comment box!

Sooo...what do you like to watch?

This guy is a very charming trans man and the first video is my favorite.

My own.

But I mean I don't really follow that many channels, but there have been a few I do like to watch videos from a bit.
I'll watch Heroes Of The Storm Highlights cuz I like that game. I also watch Highlight Reel from Kotako. That's about it video game wise.

Otherwise I'm a fan of TED talks. I watch a lot of those. And the only other guy I really subscribe too cuz I like him is Surfaced Studio cuz he makes some pretty great tutorials on how to do things in After Effects. When I was teaching myself how to use that program I'd watch a lot of his videos.
I hereby sign this message to the understanding that it is what I said. You, the viewer, thus abide to the binding of this message to have been abided.

He has a really nice voice imo. Yeah he is right, gender is not black and white and I wish more people could accept that. I say accept because even if they were told about it they probably would continue to see it their way, as that is what they were raised to believe. I am being pessimistic though, so who knows.

Anyways, thanks for sharing!

Yeah I do not watch much as far as video games go either. Oh yeah, I watch TED talks too because I am interested in business and marketing. I was able to learn how to draw the human anatomy thanks to YouTube and Udemy, but admittedly it was mostly Udemy.

I really like numberphile since I am deep down a math nut. I also enjoy techmoan for his reviews of classic audio/video gear. Anyone out there like watching restoration videos? Generally a 20-30 minute video of someone restoring an antique toy, lamp, etc? tysytube and repairrestore are 2 of my faves. Some of my other faves:

Officer401 - probably the best cop in the US
LouderWithCrowder - Always good for a laugh
WatchMojo - Enjoyed the game of thrones videos
The Rubin Report - informative and Dave Rubin is a pretty authentic guy
Hickok45 - The old Tennessee gentleman that knows more about guns than 99% of the other youtubers combined.
Technology connections - old retro tech failures are always fun to dissect with hindsight.
Engineering explained - engaging and fun to watch for a nerd like me

Some of my really really fave youtubers:
Biographics - Simon Whistler rocks! And he's handsome! In fact any Simon Whistler youtube channel is really quite good
Martys Matchbox Makeovers - An Aussie guy who restores vintage matchbox cars. He's a real hoot sometimes, although sometimes he's serious.
Doug Demuro - because I like cars and he's 100% honest because he doesn't take money from manufacturers to write rosy reviews
Tysytube - this guy in Europe has some serious restoration kung fu.
Honest Trailers - Not as much content as they used to, but some of the older stuff is hilarious and worth watching again some times.
Techmoan - informative and always interesting
peacejoytown - a massively skilled Japanese guitarist.

And.....
VSauce - I've watched some of his video 10+ times and I'm sure I'll watch them 10+ times more. One of the most interesting and educational youtubers out there.

I have enjoyed learning a lot about non-binary / genderqueer / Trans from Ash Hardell's channel.
Ash does a superb job at editing videos.  Ash is AFAB and has had top surgery.  Ash has so many videos, I have not come close to watching all of them.

Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.
