Some of the "older" stories/books that were out there years ago are definitely worth picking them up again and giving them a "fresh" read.

Here where I live it was a long hard winter, so I had plenty of time to read.
   3 books that I have re-read recently are:

   The Catcher in the Rye
   Lord of the Flies
   The Grapes of Wrath

I have an ongoing list of re-reading other classics...  even though
I had read these books some years ago, reading them again brings
fresh insights and things that were not noticed when I read them previously.

Thanks for your post and your book report on Treasure Island ....
I will add that to my list of books to read again.
