Castration only?
« on: May 23, 2018, 10:06:19 am »
How many would only go as far as castration?  Is this through choice or fear or further surgery?
Or inability to have further surgery?  Those of use castrated young might not have the scrotal/penile tissue to provide necessary amount for SRS?

Because I have type 1 diabetes, doctors are a bit shy to perform "unnecessary" surgeries. I have my first consults with Dr Ting in September and worry this may be an issue. If it is, I would then request information on an orchiectomy as a "next best" but less risky option. Then let the penis shrivel as much as possible.

I had an orchi last year, the reason was to stop testosterone production. Erections are still possible, and there is a reduced amount of ejaculate present. My scrotum has shriveled almost flush to the body. Penis size hasn't reduced by a noticeable measure.

Doing it this year. Mainly to stop T production and thus the need for implants/blockers which long term aren't good for you. I'd like SRS but right now its not the right timing so Orchiodectomy will do.

I would be perfectly content with just a Orchi only, it's a pretty personal choice, some girls can't handle the site of their penis, me? I would be happy with a vagina, but it's not a must have.

Did you have the scrotum removed as well as the testicles, or did an orchiectomy simply not leave the required tissue?

I would like SRS but as it increasingly looks as though I could die of old age first, I would certainly jump at the chance of an orchiectomy or even a farmyard style castration.  Dr Vechavisit is very cheap but unfortunately a trip to Thailand isn't.

I went in to do my orchie with a 70% feeling that i didn't want srs. But now after about 6 months its more like 50 50. Also my skin down there has been getting more brittle over time so i get cut very easily with out even trying even with a vibrator, its to sensitive ( before my orchie and afte my orchie) so i can't have regular guy sex and it just feels weird now like its not supposed to be there something i didn't have before. So chances of me having an srs now are higher than me wanting to keep it.
I have traveled through madness to find me.

Hi,  I'm definitely a case of castration only.  My testicles were removed in Aug 2015 and I've never had the slightest desire for SRS surgery.  The only operation I wanted was the removal of the dangly empty scrotum which I hated. I waited 2 years to see if I changed my mind about SRS, I didn't so I had it removed April this year.

Hi justine, glad the "tidy up" went well, and u like the result.  I think it looks a lot neater without the empty skin!

I would really like to have and orchi so that I wouldn't have to take anti-andogens.  However, I definitely want GRS in the future so I'm reluctant to go through with a castration only surgery.

With Love,
Noelle

Do you feel the difference?  I had no surgery and am off Testosterone block even now.  I have, but not presently, felt more anxiety, the need to work out or be violent.

Yes, I did. The noise in the background, the need for a release of some kind, be it violence or aggression, faded away after the surgery.

Interesting, thanks.
I wonder if only half an orchi has ever been done; for those timid.

I think that only with orchi you are suitable for srs. If you have also penectomy or remove scrotal tissue is impossible

Intact privates must be an asset to surgeons performing SRS and, obviously, penile inversion would be impossible after a penectomy.  Using the glans and penile nerves to create a sensitive clitoris, and using scrotal skin to create labia, would also be impossible.

However, I would expect an appropriately skilled surgeon to still be able to perform sigmoid vaginoplasty.  Also, if the scrotum is not available, an imaginative plastic surgeon might use skin grafts from other parts of the body for labiaplasty.  I am not aware of any specific cases, though.

Personally I have no interest in having female genitals. I am currently on Spiro only for my second week and just increased the dose. My goal is to see what chemical castration is like and if I like it then to have a surgical castration.  I do have a feminine bent, I like to wear womens skirts and tops (without bras and forms or wig). I keep my body shaven smooth and get manicures and pedicures with polish on a regular basis. There is no way that anyone would think I'm female because I'm 6ft and 250 lbs with a smooth shaved head. Call me My Clean!
I'm a gender confused man. I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a few times (my avatar picture which is doctored a little bit). I don't plan on fully transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA. I now consider myself TransFeminine. But reserve the right to change at any time.  ;D

I think a bilateral orchiectomy would work for me with scrotal removed.  Seeing a specialist for 3 months and I have determined I am not MTF trans but Male to Eunuch fits well.  Next step will be to talk with the endo about chemical castration or possible estrogen therapy and see if the genital dysphoria changes?  He is also thinking I might react to a increase in T too.  Will find out soon.   ::)
