Experiences with cis lesbians
« on: May 28, 2018, 03:57:07 am »
After my bottom surgery, I have been riding the pink wave. I am feeling beautiful for the first time. I will date trans lesbians but I wonded about cis lesbians. I am 100 % passable now, how will I fare ? Also I am overweight.

Hi, Stacey!

Welcome to Susan's.

I have been out of the dating pool for a long time, so I can't answer your question from experience.  However, I strongly suspect that the answer is "Your mileage may vary".  It depends on a lot of things, especially the personality of the person you are dating.  But also, the general attitudes of the community you live in.

Please feel free to stop by the Introductions forum to tell the members about yourself.  Here is some information that we like to share with new members:

I don't have the link, but if you're worried about being passable "down there" there's a photo project on the web that shows a LOT of vulvas. You'll see a great many variations. That may make you more confident.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

If you value her as more than just a casual occurrence, it may be best to let her know your story. If you keep that information from her, and she figures out about it down the timeline, she may feel resentment towards you which would not help the foundational strength of the relationship in the long run. It's better to face rejection now than face rejection later if you wish to lower the intensity of a possible heart break.
