Pattern or help with a cricket jumper?

I started knitting a few years ago because I had no money or means to get the things I wanted, and although I feel  a bit like a grandma I actually don't dislike it. Now I have the money and the means, but I also have this unfinished cricket jumper that I feel bad not finishing. I was following some instructions that I found in Livejournal but eventually they got weird and I had to un-knit a bunch from what I had done. Does anyone have by chance a knitting pattern of a cricket jumper or a regular V neck sweater? If not, does anyone know how to knit that if I tell you what I'm having problems with would be able to provide some guidance? ( basically is about how much to decrease). Thanks!
