Good to know Danielle. I know it’s been a while since anyone posted here but I have been looking into getting a license. My dad used to have one. I still remember him saying CQ CQ CQDX. One child hood memory that has always been with me. Ham radio has always interested me but I have only just now reading up on it. Probably a few months before I actually do something. My dad had a huge antenna. He would talk all over the world. That’s one thing I got from my dad. When we get into something we go all in hard core.

I know this is an old thread but I am active again on HF I just got a radio after 20+ years. I always renewed my license anyways getting to learn all digital modes and having fun. Any others in New England?

Yes indeed, the technology of Ham Radio has changed dramatically over the decades.
A Ham operator can still enjoy the hobby with the "old school" equipment or they can
incorporated the newest video, computer and digital communication modes.
