A new life...
« on: October 13, 2018, 08:00:32 am »
A bit about me...
This all started 43 years ago. Even as s youngster I knew. Coming from the family I did. The possibility of  expressing it could have been dangerous. At age 9 my cousin caught me wearing her clothes. It was one of the scariest moments of my young life
It turned out to be an amazing experience. She thought nothing of it.. in fact, she picked out a bunch of her old clothes & made up a spare dresser for was wonderful... & then my father found out. That put an end to it.
Thus began my great experiment in suppression.
I hid who I was for years only expressing myself when it was safe..10 years ago.. I ran into my old high school love. I thought nothing of being Trans...
2.5 years ago the feelings resurfaced but it wasnt the same... It wasnt a comfort thing. It was more of a need. I couldnt not tell her..She deserved to know...
Thus began the end... I started hormones 9 months ago... I have never felt so happy, the rage in me is gone & I just feel natural ( apart from EXTREMELY sensitive nipples)
My wife & I separated, which makes it really tough... We still love each other
.but her beliefs do not allow for this. I moved out last weekend
The big surprise in all of this. My mom,  I came out to her 2 days ago. She was surprisingly understanding. She had only one request. That I not come strutting outta my bedroom in front of her boyfriend in lingerie
.she's afraid he might stroke out... seemed fair :)
I came here to learn & make friends... & a good morning to all

Hello Darlene! Welcome to Susan's. You will find many here who identify with your story and are on the path to becoming who they have always believed themselves to be. I say believe instead of felt because feelings tend to pass on more easily than beliefs. Beliefs typically stay with us throughout our lives.

I started my HRT journey 6 months ago and have come out to a few close friends but not my parents. I plan on coming out to then next month when they get back from their month long road trip.

Anyway, I encourage you to start your own transition timeline, blog, thingy. I find it helps to put my thoughts down and then hear what others have experienced in regards to my own eperiences.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Darlene 🙋‍♀️ Welcome to Susan’s Place!  I’m Jessica.
Your experience is similar to many here.  Starting young, experimenting, ultimately hiding.  It’s a tough road we are on.  I’m sorry your wife can’t allow you in her life, she is entitled to her beliefs, but you are entitled to your life and beliefs in turn.
I’m fairly sure you will meet friends here that can help you become who you are.

I see you’re new here, so I’ll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site. Pay attention to the site rules they can be of great help and don’t forget the link highlighted red.  It has answers to questions that are commonly asked.  Then join in on a topic you find interesting and learn and share.

Hey Darlene!

For any of us transition is choice between what we have and what we can gain. Well, basically it's working for any people in general, but for us it a little harder. Sorry to hear about your separation with wife. But you still have nice attitude and you came to find new friends and your mother so supportive and kinda funny so I think you'll overcome any challenge you'll meet ;)
Welcome here :)
