On my left hand my index finger (so 2nd finger) is substantially longer than the ring finger 7.5 vs 6.5cm approx. (uh... that's a BIIIIG ratio)
Right hand however?
6.5 and 6.2

My hands don't match at all lol. My left pinkie is like a good cm or 2 shorter than my right for example. But both hands my index finger is longer, uh.. what does that mean? (am I an alien? yes!)

I am bi/pansexual or more accurately i'm demisexual and panromantic.
I'm potentially FTM or at the very least masculine leaning fluid.

I'm also ambidexterous. right dominant but that could be socialisation/habit as I can write with both hands just fine and play most sport left handed, eat left handed etc.

My index finger is considerably longer than my ring finger.  2-4 digit ratio is a good indicator of prenatal androgen exposure, or lack thereof.

There are a number of other indicators as well, such as the rate at which one builds muscle mass, a certain face shape, being able to cross your legs twice, overall flexibility, penis size at birth, and a few more things.

Genetic females with the opposite issue tend to be stronger and more aggressive.

Either way there is a very high rate of transexuality.  I don't recall the exact figure.

Hm. Somewhat. My ring finger is slightly longer than my index finger.
Given I am a woman and into women, I guess the article is correct.

m2f into women?  Am I a Mutant?

The mothership refused me and said I'm not a quadsexual mutant so at least I have that going for me.

I am confused...  So I dug around I found one link that said 2D Index (Pointer) finger to 4D ring finger results are
<0.97 Male
>0.97 Female
There was some verbage about this being 90% accurate but nothing that I could find showed any serious study but I'll take the 1.0 retain the "Female" or Trying to be / m2f title.  There have been some studies about sexuality with heart rates etc measured when watching different types of porn but... I think this was probably some professor who wanted to be paid to hang out on porn sites.

Equal lengths after finding a site that showed where to measure from so I'm quite pleased that puts me into the Female finger length range!

Everybody is the female finger length range. The difference between male and female is so small it can be explained simply by the fact that men are larger and therefore have larger hands.

Usually this is presented as "Finger length determines your gender", I don't think I've seen it used to identify your sexuality before. I can't verify if it is a sign of either.

I have, however, done some research, and can verify the following information as facts:

1. If your index finger is longer than your ring finger, it means that your index finger is longer than
your ring finger. Fact.

2. If your fingers are on your hands, it means that your fingers have not left your body. Fact.

3. If your fingers have bright colours on the tips of them, it means that you have painted
your nails. Fact.

4. If your fingers can form words on a keyboard, it means that you have learned how
to type. Fact

5. If you can touch your fingers to your thumbs, it means that you have opposable thumbs. Fact.

6. If you can make a noise with your finger and thumb, it means that you've learned how to
snap your fingers. Fact.

7. If your finger is in your ear, it means you have an itchy ear. Fact.

8. If your fingers are in both of your ears, it means that you can't take another word of
what I'm saying. Fact.

9. If your finger is in your nose...stop it right now!

*SIGH*

Yes, the 2D:4D digit ratio

Note that there is a tiny bit off overlap between the normative values...

The Wiki link is a good one, with plenty of referencing of scientific studies.

I've looked into this for some time and am fairly confident there's something in it. However, all it really indicates is exposure to androgens or estrogens in utero. Whether that then plays out into sexual orientation or gender identity is moot. In terms of the latter, there are many factors that generate both sexuality and gender (I don't buy the feminist assertion that the two are totally distinct) and in utero hormone exposure is just one.

The more interesting aspect, for me personally, concerns androgen receptors. This from Wiki is the part that intrigues me most:

Digit ratio in men may correlate with genetic variation in the androgen receptor gene. Men with genes that produce androgen receptors that are less sensitive to testosterone (because they have more CAG repeats) have greater, i.e. more feminine, digit ratios. There are reports of a failure to replicate this finding. However, men carrying an androgen receptor with more CAG repeats compensate for the less sensitive receptor by secreting more testosterone, probably as a result of reduced negative feedback on gonadotropins. Thus, it is not clear that 2D:4D would be expected to correlate with CAG repeats, even if it accurately reflects prenatal androgen.

XY individuals with androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) due to a dysfunctional gene for the androgen receptor present as women and have feminine digit ratios on average, as would be predicted if androgenic hormones affect digit ratios. This finding also demonstrates that the sex difference in digit ratios is unrelated to the Y chromosome per se.

The science about this is nascent but fascinating. For me, personally, it has had a profound effect as exogenous testosterone was converting even at low dosages into estrogen through the aromatase. Basically my body began producing hugely high levels of estrogen.

The CYP1A1 gene variant is important in this regard and there are serious hard scientific studies about it.

My index finger is significantly longer than my ring finger on my right hand, maybe more than half an inch. The digit ratio is somewhat less on my left hand, maybe a quarter of an inch difference.
So not in the typical male range.

However the wikipedia page shows that I show traits of both, hyperactivity and ADHD, along with masculinized handwriting and longer penis are considered when one has a low digit ratio. Whereas mine is high.

But I mostly fit with the items on the high side.

I can't remember the source but someplace I read that "males" diagnosed with hypogonadism are more likely to (at some point) transition mtf.  Well...

Finger Length FEMALE
Hypogonadism YES
3rd Nipple YEP

I admit I'm a skeptic about these tests but I won't say its not a relief that I can check all the boxes.  Yes the (estrogen) prescription is for me...
