Verification steps

Swedishgirl96:
Why do we have so many verification steps when writing a new topic or even a reply or a post in a topic?
Is there really a need for this?

helps inhibit trolls and other bad people types (auto-scripts, robo-people). It'll stop when you get a few more posts

Dear Josefin:
As our lovely member @Faith replied in her comment, the verification steps help keep this place more free from scammers, spammers and those who would want to disrupt this happy, friendly and safe place for all of us here.
Most certainly, after 15 postings you should not have to jump through those verification hoop any longer and you will have a lot more options and privileges here on the Forums.
In my Welcome Message to you yesterday on the INTRODUCTIONS Forum, where you first posted I had included Important and Informative LINKS detailing the site and forums rules and features that will allow you to navigate safely around the forums.
Please pay special attention to the LINKS IN RED... most questions that new members have will be answered there but also look at the other LINKS as well... important stuff that you should be aware of.
Again, thank you for joining in on the Forums...
Best Wishes to YOU,
Danielle
