@davina61
Dear Davina:
This is great news....  keep doing what you are doing and the weight will keep dropping off.
HUGS,
Danielle

The scales said 14st 12lb this morning but that's probably just dehydration as have had a jippy tummy the last few days (tmi but weeing from your a hole is a bit much!!) Just stood on them again and its plus 4lb from this morning but have been topping up fluid and eaten dinner.

That doesn't sound like much fun.   :o
Wind blew in, cloud was dispersed
Rainbows appearing, the pressures were burst
Breezes a-singing, now feeling good
The moment had passed like I knew that it should

I think small meals will help.  We eat on smaller plates too, using salad forks rather than the larger dinner fork.  I've focused on eating slower too.  I used to shovel it in with abandon but now as I've aged it stays with me!  Keep going Davina, you're doing fine.

14st 8lb this morning ,dehydration I think!!!!slept all night without getting up for a wee, but then I normally have some swigs of water. Had 4 cups of green tea, a slice of toast for breakfast, and scrambled eggs and 2 slices (small) for lunch.

Down another LB 14.7 , it will go back up I suspect as I can now manage to eat without rushing to the loo

Dear Davina:
There is one sure way, stop eating !!!!!
... but of course that is difficult to do, and you can't do it for long.

In all seriousness, I hope that you can get down to your goal weight in 20 days....
....and if not, people will still love you for who you are.

Hugs,
Danielle

Stuck again yoyoing between 14 st 12 lb and 14 10 so have decided to try a veg diet , well there will be meat but only a bit. Will try some dahl as well , have bags of all sorts of lentils and not used much but have loads of recipes in my curry books.

It was good meeting you last Saturday in Brighton and you looked good
I am in the same boat stuck! I had bounced around the 11st mark after getting down from 15st and could not get the last 7lbs off I wanted. Then went on a cruise holiday and came back 10lbs heavier, got a bit off but now stuck at around 11st 8lb so a stone more than my goal
I must admit I have found it harder to restart the diet regime and being away from home a lot recently has not helped

My routine (if I stick to it is) eat a small breakfast of cereal ( recommended portion weighed)
Skip lunch no snacks
Eat a well balanced freshly prepared sub 1000 cal portioned dinner
Allow one treat (eat out/pizza/Chinese/fish and chips) a week
This worked for me but a bit tiring after 10 months

Keep up your work
Hugs and kisses

@Davina61
Dear Davina:
I am sorry that you are having difficulties with your diet progress.
For most of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the winter holiday season does not make it very conducive to lose weight.

First, in the colder weather we are less apt to work on projects outside and are not as likely to go on walks and runs.
As you also stated, all the holiday time dinners and events, and most events include food, lots of food.
Portion control and old fashioned will-power are much needed during the holidays.

I am wishing you well... and I will be looking for your good reports.
HUGS,
Danielle

Silly of me but stood on the scales this morning, now have a mounting to climb (literally!!) after feasting .  Have a goal to aim for to start me off, March for GIC visit so 10 weeks on a Chrissy Ryan diet should do it (joking)

@davina61   cc:@randim
Dear Davina:
Yes indeed, Randi is correct, progress, even losing just a few pounds (or Kgs or stones) is at least going in the right direction.

As I stated in my previous comment on this thread, this is a very tough time of year to keep our weight under control....
Wishing you well..... all it takes is determination and will-power!!!
Simply said, but hard to do for sure.

I will be eagerly looking for you updates....
HUGS,
Danielle

Its not helping feeling exhausted all the time, no energy to burn the fat off. Need to kick start my metabolism some how, its always been  slow and I was well over weight at school . Again my only comfort eating .

Not sure if its being careful or from this cold but 4lb have gone this morning, was more but some of that was dehydration !! Will take it if it counts 5 and a 1/2 lb then . 36 to go and this time will try to stay on track. Need to keep the depression away then I wont comfort eat.Dont know why but suddenly things are "OK"
