Facial hair removal

(1/1)

Litaw.wolf:
I had laser hair removal & I still have to shave weekly.
I have sensitive skin.

Does anybody have any recommendations on in between shaving to remove Facial hair that isn’t so painful?

Dena:
An electric razor doesn't shave quite as close so it reduces the irritation. Blade shaving can be uncomfortable even for CIS men who aren't having facial treatment. One word of warning, don't press down hard on the razor because sometimes the cutting screen can cut into the skin.

I also have sensitive skin and have always hated shaving because my skin would get irritated and I always get painful ingrown hairs.

What I have done is switch to an electric shaver. I use a Norelco Series 9000 shaver that is water proof. I shave in the shower while everything is hot and wet so my skin is clean, soft, and well lubricated by shaving gel (get gel, not foam). I am able to get as close of a shave doing this as I ever did with a conventional razor and the irritation is pretty much zero, but I still get the ingrown hairs.

Here is a picture about ten minutes after I finished shaving:

Pretty good for an electric shaver.

I could never go the blade route but laser could be an option soon, ott though.
