I started HRT weighing 11st 4lb's [158lbs] also starting a cholesterol lowing diet and dropped to 10st 8lb [148lbs] but since covid lockdown this has crept back up to 11st 4lb

I would rather have a little bit of muscle on my arms than wings underneath, i'm not 100% sure but I think I might look a little less bulky up top...

I’m sorta in a similar situation....23 months HRT & 23 months on a strict paleo-centric diet. I exercised regularly playing racquetball at the YMCA 4 days a week with long walks in between until covid hit. I’ve lost maybe 20%-25% of my upper body strength since starting HRT but managed to keep the lost muscle from turning to flab somehow. I’m 5’-10” and am stable at about 175lbs. Since the covid lockdown, our local Y closed so I only do long walks for exercise but I’m still religious with my diet. Despite my best efforts, I’ve added 5 lbs on my lower body and my weight has stabilized at 180lbs. Walking doesn’t help keep arms tone...I just wish they were a tiny bit less muscular looking but don’t want flab either.

Walking doesn’t help keep arms tone...

Have you considered Nordic walking (walking with poles)?
