From the Urology Times
https://www.urologytimes.com/ytube/transgender-surgery-videos-demonstrate-cutting-edge-techniquesSome exciting news about advances in urologic care for transexuals. There are technical advances shown in the videos (Squeemish be aware this is graphic) The writer believes the unmet needs of 700,000 people in the USA who Identify as Transgender is "a burgeoning field in urology" How cool is that?
What really excites me is the discussion of the need for more surgeons to care for the growing number of TS folk who are looking for treatments. Its refreshing to read about the work being sone to improve surgical outsome using high tech and looking at some of the issues in a new way. In particular they have an article on orchietomy that focuses on the need to retain material for future GRS.
The article demonstrates (by video) doing a m2f reassignment surgery using robotics!? I didn't know this was even being considered. The article also includes a f2m procedure (without robotics) which was quite amazing.
Anyway - I hope you read the text part (at least) Its very positive!
