Uploading Avatar or linking to Imgur

I have a photo I want to use as my avatar, but it fails to upload, and if I put it on Imgur and try to link to it, that also fails.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

One problem that has occurred with me is that the file is too large.
I’ve solved it by editing the picture by just rotating it 360* in edit mode.
Then try to upload.
That seems to usually help.

Your avatar picture can be directly added without a service like Imgur, all others will need it.

If size is the issue, Photoshop Elements is capable of resizing images and often comes free with scanners or digital cameras. It's also not very expensive however if you don't have the ability to resize pictures, I can resize them for you and return them to your account email. I work enough with scanners and cameras that I always maintain a working copy even if I have to buy it.

I got the image to upload after resizing it, but now it uploads sideways (rotated 90 degrees).

I will fix it for you so it displays upright   ..... 
 send me a Message with the photo link and I will return it to you fixed up so it will display upright.
