Thanks Danielle and Davina!

There may be some sunshine later on, but the first part of the day will consist of rain, thunder, and all that stuff...

Time for another update!

I'm about 23 weeks in now. I have some interesting stuff to report!

1. I can tell that my body is changing. If I lower my arms to my sides, it now feels as if they are being pushed slightly away from my body by my breasts; some of the growth is lateral. This was unfamiliar at first, but I've got used to it now.

2. My left breast has gained 2cm hemispherical size (22cm now) and my right breast has gained 1cm (21cm now). These measurements are subject to around a +/-1cm accuracy I would say (I am performing them on myself).

3. My last bloods did not show much change in levels compared to the baseline set taken in January, strangely. Even though I'm using patches, testosterone and oestrogen are still in male normal range. My endo has considered that that is an anomaly and is continuing to titrate as I am still seeing growth.

4. I anticipate the NHS taking over my care from later this week; I have my first Welsh GIC appointment. Yay!

5. I have not noticed any reduction in strength yet. That may be because I am continuing to do strength exercises. I'm glad of that as I don't really want to lose any strength.

6. I think my left nipple is starting to change; it is itchy and there are a few bumps around the areola. It's not happening with the right nipple yet.

7. I move over to an injection to inhibit testosterone shortly; I expect to have that this week but I'm waiting to hear from my GP. I am anticipating that this will get more changes going.

8. No mood changes to report (except, of course, becoming happier as my body becomes more congruent with my gender).

I'll try and attach the latest piccy in a moment!

Latest picture. I am not wearing a bra on this one. I'm gonna go and put one on now though which will help with the nipple that's itchy!

Awwww, cute story.  I'm glad it all worked out for you so far.  How old was your daughter when you told her?  That was pretty funny and cute about the fingernails and toenails XD.

You sound very smart and together.  You are definitely the first transgender person I ever met that used a book to help figure out if you're trans or not, pretty unique.  You are really cool.

I wish you luck along the way; I hope it all works out for you.

@Northern Star Girl Thank you as always for following my progress!

@Starry My daughter was 11 when I told her. Thank you for wishing me luck!

Latest update is that my GP service has backed out of the shared care agreement. They prescribed Evorel (Oestrogen patches) and Finasteride (a testosterone conversion inhibitor) for what they said was the last time during the past week, citing relaxation of the Covid restrictions, terms on their licence and the current test tube availability crisis in the UK as reasons for this.

So titrating has not continued, despite it being recommended by my endo.

There is some better news, however. On Wednesday I officially transferred over to the NHS Wales gender identity clinic. They will now take over my care and they have local teams of specially-trained GPs that can prescribe. Apparently it normally takes one to two months for that service to kick in after my initial consultation, but the doctor who I spoke to said he will request that my service is given priority. He doesn't want there to be a break in my hormone treatment. Obviously, neither do I!

That's all for now...

Thanks @davina61 !

Update for those of you who are interested:

I have been contacted by the local gender team (unique to Wales in the UK as far as I am aware) and they have issued a prescription to me for the next level of titration, so I will shortly be on the dose I should be at this point!

I start Decapeptyl a week Thursday, so I'm viewing that with a mixture of excitement and trepidation!

I had to look up decapeptyl. Looks like a T inhibitor for anybody else who comes along wondering.

My smartphone thinks it's smarter than me. It's probably right.

It’s an anti androgen so yes, a T inhibitor. My favourite compound!

Just a brief update today.

On Sunday I went up a level again in estradiol hemihydrate (the patches).

Today I had my first shot of decapeptyl. I am booked in again for 11 weeks time, then it will be 12-weekly intervals (they do the overlap so that you don't get a second rise in testosterone, so I was told). I pretty much didn't notice anything about this injection! It was completed very quickly and with no pain.

I expect to get cyproterone acetate for 14 days tomorrow which should help with the initial portion of the testosterone increase.

The only side effect I have noted was about an hour during which I was tired about five hours after the injection and that wore off. I did get hot a bit later but that might have had more to do with singing than the decapeptyl (I have no way of knowing). I feel fine right now (21:35 local time).

So that's it for now!

It will take effect very quickly , well it did for me. No early morning surprises /desires and shrinkage. Have found I get very hot in bed , if that's from the E or lack of T I don't know

It does seem to have done so! Right now, there's still a little bit going on down there, but nothing in the way of surprises.

Also, my nipples are sore like never before! They can be very itchy from time to time, too!

I have four Cyproterone tablets left to take and since I started those the day after the Decapeptyl, I am 11 days in, and looking forward to some more action up top :)
