How do we know the user is New? It not like there’s a side note saying first post, couldn’t this cause issues if the new poster finds the message keeps getting added to lots of there initial posts, annoy them and stop them coming back?

Hi Nicole,

You have to look at the number of posts they've made, and their Reputation points. If the number of posts is just one then they're new. If you see that they already have a reputation point, then most likely someone has already greeted them somewhere in the same thread they posted in.

Dear Nicole:
The reputation-applaud point is not automatic, it must be added by the "Greeter" 
All members with more than 50 quality posts (no post padding) can give reputation-applaud points.

Welcome to Susan's Samantha! You should start your own thread in the Introductions forum and give us a little information about yourself, then ask as many questions as you need to. There is a great amount of knowledge and experience on this forum, and the members are only too happy to help.

Please read through these helpful instructions below and I for one will be looking for your posts!!
