Fish cakes:  Kamaboko.
Been ages since I had that. I ought to keep an eye out for that at the big Asian market near me.

I had tri tip steak marinated with Chinese cooking wine, soy sauce, sugar, and red pepper.

I ended up not having the soup yesterday and had some coconut shrimp and orange sauce.

Very yummy.  Turned out well in the air fryer.

Herefordshire rump steak cooked in frying pan till rare , cut into chunks then chucked in some tomato and onion "curry" and added black eye beans left over from butternut squash curry. Made a mushroom bhajii (its not a fritter, just a veg curry dish) and had some with it. Lovely, tomato , garlic and melt in the mouth beef.

I think I finally located a frying pan for high heat cooking.  Carbon steel is popular in Europe but rarely sold in the USA, which favors non stick (can't handle heat), stainless steel (uneven cooking), and cast iron (very heavy).

I have some chicken breast that has been marinating for 24 hours in Chinese wine and soy sauce.  I'll batter it in Panko and fry it.

I might fast for a couple of days but I am not in the mood to do so.
This is not the season!  But I will likely keep it simple the next few days.
