Hi.
I’m doing ok! It’s been 4 weeks.
I had a lot of work on my face and body. Wanting my lymphatic system to kick back in. Trying to get as recovered as I can before my next huge step on March 7th.
The Zukowski Center (and the Dr!) have been great. Communication, reassurances, support. I send a new set of photos to my Dr each week. So far he says I’m dong great.
My daily recovery is still wearing a head wrap garment and a special bra.
3x per day I aggressively massage my surgical areas and incisions.
I continue to take acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
Keeping areas clean, sleeping elevated, and avoiding salty food.
A referral to a referral to a referral got me to a virtual appt with a phd psychologist who submitted a letter in my behalf for my next stage: peritoneal vaginoplasty at Indiana University Health with Drs Roth and Koch. In three weeks. Closer than preferred...
My insurance company approved so its a go ahead.
I have concerns, but this whole transition runs on faith for me.
Walking through this I am not alone.
I will be ok.
