If flu cases dropped to 3% of normal, why are so many people getting Covid 19? Obviously, it is just that much more contagious.
Thankfully, the death rate is much lower than expected. Unfortunately, the virus seems to also be more contagious than expected. And, we are still learning the long term effects of the virus.
This is not a random mutation of an existing virus by chance. It was manufactured by people. Whether accidental or intentional, it was released from a bio-weapons lab. If China’s death rates are to be believed, that had a vaccine early on. But, they probably are to be believed. They probably lied to the world and hid more than a million deaths.
Our government knows the history of the component parts of the virus. In fact, the Corona portion came from a bio-weapons lab in NC, USA. The Pentagon knows it was a bio-weapon, and they understand the other component bits of DNA and their source. But, they cannot admit it, because if they did we would have to go to war with China. So, they lie and say it wasn’t man made.
We can’t shut down the country. I mean we could, but it would have catastrophic effects on our economy, causing a world wide depression. Doing that would cause millions to starve, perhaps some right here in the U.S.. This virus ultimately isn’t likely to kill more than 0.5% of us, even if we do absolutely nothing and have no vaccine. But, that is nearly 2,000,000 people. Horrific. But, it isn’t as many dead as a shutdown would cause.
My conclusion. We all need to be vaccinated as quickly as reasonably safe to do. And, then (even though 5% won’t become immune and will get sick anyway) we need to get back to life as usual. Hopefully, getting everyone vaccinated won’t take more than a year.
