Got my referral letter to the Cardiff gender identity service today

(1/2) > >>

Ellie_Arroway:
This applies to the Cardiff gender identity clinic which covers all of Wales I believe (though it's probably very inconvenient for people in North Wales to get to; I'm guessing they are still referred to somewhere in England).

My referral date: 28-10-2019
Date of letter: 06-01-2020
Currently seeing: Patients referred in 11-2017

Based on that, I could have a further 26 months to wait.

Ho hum...

At least they got my name right, because I changed that after the referral.

Devlyn:
The GICs are mind numbingly slow to me. I had hormones a week after I first spoke to my doctor in Boston.

Congratulations, though, the longest journey begins with a single step.  :)

Hugs, Devlyn

Ellie_Arroway:
I think I was actually first referred on 23 September 2019, so I'll query that. I remember they sent a questionnaire that had to be filled in and I saw a GP about that on 24 October. The letter says everyone is seen in strict order of referral date, so that could bring it a month closer.
