Nothing like an Elvis tune to get things hoppin'  :) Amazing how popular and how many generations Elvis has endured.

As your for job, tough choices ahead, hope things work out for you Davina. I am guessing that "redundant" means "layed off" in so many words (US vs UK terms), which might include a severance pay ?

Davina, reading your thread, I kept thinking "just hold on another year...just hold on..."

Now, I just hope it works out for you. Any way it does. As long as it  keeps you on track (and hopefully under a roof).
Other people must be reacting to the move too.  Please watch for any unexpected window of opportunity that you can get.  Before management can close it in order to cover their scrambling tails. 
And best luck playing your cards at the right time.

yes will have to play by ear, rushing out tomorrow night and Sat night so will not have time to post what happens till Sun.
 Best dress for tomorrow night as said before its Valentines night at the pub the BFF is singing at.

So of course area manager never turned up (nothing new there then) so still waiting . Last night went to see BFF sing as she is now "famous" after being on TV !!! Band was brill , have videoed 3 songs and managed to post one on face ache .
Was going out tonight but chesty cough returned so decided to slum in. Have to go food shop tomorrow as forgot to swop my purse over to my work bag , now how many have done that??

I carry one purse mostly these days, and when I go for the food shop, always strap my bag handles in the cart seat kiddie strap, so it stays where it is  :) and when placing groceries into car, always put my bag in car first, then unload food cart, thieves can be lurking in parking lots preying on unsuspecting women leaving their bags in the cart as they unload (yes it does happen).

Brilliant on the music and your BFF, how fun...

This summer as I was unloading my cart a woman approached me to bring my attention to this very point.  Put your handbag in the car first and stay aware of people walking around near you.  Very good advice.

Always have my bag strap around my neck and zipped up. Did shopping this morning , got some more "medicine " as they were clearing stop of xmas GIN !!! Making carrot and coriander soup MMMMMMMMMMMM

Back to trans matters, Fri night got told by a lot of folk I looked lovely . Did make the effort , make up , that nice dress (red with the black "flames") and my best push up bra.
 Now back to life!! water pressure has gone again so not been able to shower for 2 days , took my work clothes to mum as didn't want to damage washing machine. Time for a <not allowed>   email again.

Just seen phots and video on FB of the road I take to work, impassable with flood water and still rising. That will be fun getting to work then as everyone else will be using the one road -------------

Here with I live it takes many feet of snow here to slow things down or to stop them..

 It is so affirming for any of us in the transition journey to be told that we look lovely....   make up, nice red dress and a push up bra is bound to help.

So text my manager saying I could be late due to the floods , I just got a message back saying leave earlier (not allowed )!!!!!!!!!!!! Well that's the last time I bother . Tell you what that has made me want to leave the job more.

Got to work early!!! not much traffic in fact manager was 10 mins late------ the one bit of road was just passable but is now closed. Took my mums car in for its annual test ,it only gets chuged around but tonight got a good clear out.   As all the river bridges are closed I had to go via motor way and instead of a 14 mile trip it was 40 and took over an hour. Causeway on south side of town is at the moment still clear but rivers still rising for the next 2 days , not going in to work tomorrow with the distance and time . If they don't like it then they know what to do with it!! Still suffering from this chest/cold thing so might be ill anyway TBH only went today to sort mums car. They did let me go home early !!!
 Not been able to have a shower for 3 days now as water pressure has gone (again) reported but like all the firms can only click on a box on web page and not give a full report. Its not like you can speak to anyone .

Thought I might get a day off , no water went down and bridge reopened. Its supposed to rise again tomorrow just hope not to much. Area manager turned up today  and told him not going to Glos and anyway its a 2 person test bay at the other site so I will not be wobbling the suspension as my assistant will be doing it. So looks like stuck in this job for a year. Lets see how I get on, the depression has lifted due to the fact I thought might be leaving . Time for a flannel wash again , still no water pressure------------

Had to come home from work this morning , hard to breath with this chest infection getting worse. On the antibiotics now and the Olbas oil!! 2 drops in hot water and breath in the fumes helps clear the tubes . Will miss open mic night and my day off tomorrow wrecked again.

Feeling better thanks, between a sleep, cough mixture and Olbas oil breathings a bit better. Chest still tight ,feels like I have been punched between the girls.
