The lad in the next flat to mine has not been about for a week so as I had made some biscuits thought I would take some to him, he opened the door a crack and he looks like <not allowed> , could hardly speak as well. I had stood well back anyway so said hold out your hand and dropped bag in them quick. Told him if your stuck let me know.
As well as biscuits made a walnut cake, waiting for it to cool for a coffee butter cream filling and icing top.
Clocks moved forward an hour last night to BST so all behind , still washing, vac and dusting done. Its nice being the "house wife" today!!!

Yes symptoms are sore throat, dry cough and high temp. Recommended to drink hot fluids as it kills virus and keep mouth moist so it gets washed into gut as that kills it as well.
I’m afraid that’s fake news. Drinks go down the other tube so that’s just not true

I opened the door and the light shone in

It was to wash it out of your mouth and to keep it moist, was a proper recommendation as well. Whether it does any good is a different matter!!!

Another day------------ Made sandwiches and a flask of coffee to take to my lockup but lacking motivation. Found a can of stone chip sat on my paint shelf , God knows how old it is but stirred it for ages and its still to thick for spay gun!!! I keep putting of fixing the rear bumper mountings as all the captive nuts are broken off inside chassis , no room to get grinder in so drill heads off bolts is the only way and not looking forward to that .
Chest has cleared ,will give it a few more days to make sure then back to work Fri . Have to do a supermarket shop tomorrow as running out of shaver blades and foam. Mum has given me a list as well . Time to get my rump in gear

Did the food shop, car park 1/2 empty and got a trolley full in no time. Lots of reduced price stuff as well , fish, sausages, ready meal all for the freezer . Dropped mums off for her , she  is fine . New wig came today , same as one I have but didn't realise how tired the old on was . Going to wear it to work (the old one) to see if it helps with the "mistering" .
Nice to put on some slap (makeup) to go to shop .

Off to the "dust hole" again today, filler dust gets everywhere  even with a good quality face mask . Makes me wonder how good they work against bugs? Back to work tomorrow but spoke to them yesterday and its gone very quiet , still a week to go and then have a weeks booked holiday . Tidied up my old wig that had frizzy ends , its shortened it an inch or so but going to wear it to work now. The short one I have been using for 2 1/2 years is getting very tired , elastic has gone slack .
Missing seeing my chums and BFF , she posted some vids of her band as have  a load of the performers from open mic night . Good but its not the same as live -----------

Please be careful with the dust Davina.  I understand that some masks work poorly but resist the temptation to go without.  I've determined my breathing issues go back to years working with no or poor masks.  Like you I've worked on cars for seemingly ever, plus I've completely remodeled three homes of my own whilst working on others.  I have a couple good respirators in the shop and I'll use one even when tidying up as who knows whats in the air that gets kicked up.

Good idea to tidy up that old wig-hat!  I know you're itching to get back to the club where you can play and dance.
Cheers, Judi

Get hay fever and always been  slightly asthmatic, all that brake dust and rubbish from 50years working on cars has not helped . The MMM masks I have are good. Just one rear lower corner to fill, awkward shape around door handle and some final fettling left .
Dropped some stuff of for my youngest, he is rebuilding a trail bike . He said the ex who is a nurse has some cases in here cottage hospital , he was  being cautious just in case.

What a boring day back at work, just one test all day. Looks like the same tomorrow, still get paid for doing nothing!!
Manager went home feeling unwell , hope its not the bug as we could all catch it due to the fact its impossible to social distance . TBH think we should have closed down, all the garages, tyre places  I pass are closed .

@davina61
Dear Davina:
I am thinking that we should be glad for any business that is allowed to stay open, just as long as the employees are staying safe.
My business is way way own because the local businesses that I do financial, tax and payroll work for are mandated to be closed....  some of these business will not weather the storm, they will not be back, thus the employees are out of a job and out in the cold.

Hang in there Davina...  be glad that you have a job to go to....
Stay safe, stay healthy,
HUGS,
Danielle

Doesn't sound good about manager.  Hope it's not that.
Wonder why you're the only place running
Do they need you open to test emergency vehicles?

Yep, Like I have a friend who delivers tyres, they are one of the few depots doing it in the country but have seem deliveries drop from several thousand to a few hundred daily. The garages they serve support other delivery services and the NHS. There are lots of support activities keeping hospitals alone running.
Keep safe dear friend

Luv n Hugz
