Latest lockdown restrictions means i’m not going to be able to go and see my grandkids for the next 5 or 6 weeks at least, very sad and i’m feeling quite isolated again

Pammie we are all going to need our extra reserves of patience with this virus.  I have noticed that we are all getting very creative with this extra time, finding new hobbies and rediscovering old ones.

At least you can call and skype with your grandchildren.  A friend started a written letter exchange with his granddaughter and she feels like they have gotten closer.  Much more personal than skype.

Look what the writing here has done for us.

Warm Hug,

Emma

That stinks.  It is said to be for the public’s good though.  Still, being apart is hard.
Hang in there and call to talk.  :)

Chrissy
Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that your speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.

I struggle because i’m not even in a bubble - even my boyfriend will be under pressure from his brother as he cares for his 89 year old dad so that if we go up to tier 3 I might not even see him.
Trying to stay positive

That is a good aim, to stay positive.  These are strange and trying times.

I actually write a journal every night and always include 3 positives from the day. 2 observations:
1. It’s sometimes a challenge to identify 3
2. Susan’s and the wonderful people on here feature often! - thank you all!! Xxx

@Pammie
Dear Pammie:
All of us feel the pain of not getting together with our loved one as often as we desire.  At least in this day and age of tech we can text and FaceTime... not as good as being there but seeing and talking to your grandkids can still be more enjoyable than not being with them at all.

I also completely agree with you about the friends that we make here on the Forum’s ...  it is not only that we are we all like-minded for the most part but many of the friendships here can help make up for the lockdown restrictions.

Writing in your journal is certainly a good use of your time and it can be very good personal  therapy too.
I really like the fact that in spite of hardships that you try to identify positives and write down your daily observations.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts..
Hugs, stay safe, stay healthy... and stay positive.
Danielle
