My isolation diary - day 13
Still not able to see Andy as his dad just isn’t well, feeling very isolated.
Tonight though I went to see my younger daughter Grace and we had a take-away curry and watched a film and discussed my dress sense (a very usual topic). Felt so much better for that.

Nice dress Pammie!  It's great to have a daughter you can share things with- I still remember fondly doing each other's nails on our last stay at home shutdown (and we have another partial shutdown for four weeks starting at midnight local time!)

Hugs!

My isolation diary - day 15
I spent the evening (post workout) drinking wine, eating chocolate and watching “Love Actually” - as always I cried at the happy endings but they were happy tears for once

@Pammie, I can relate much better to the happy tears now. :)
It's really good to be able to have that.

(Oh, and your fashion sense is on point! :)   )
It took over 40 years to realise, and believe, that what I am NOT, is a mistake.

(Yes, I'm a Canadian who served in the US Navy....)

You know that is such an absolutely true saying!
My Siobhan will always be in my heart

My grandparents had 9 siblings, but 7 passed away before them at the ages ranging from teen to the early 40s. It was such a difficult time, and I still can not figure out how my grandparents could endure so many losses. My grandfather grasped my hands, looking at me with wet eyes, just before he passed away when I was 14 years old. He loved me the most among his grandchildren because I was the first one.

I have 3 children. The youngest one is a teenage daughter who always nags me. The eldest son is now on a 3-day trip to Seoul. The second son is in the army, which is obligatory here. Just ago I chatted with him on the phone.

barbie~~
Just do it.

It’s so nice to hear that you are so close to your children. I  try to stay close to my 3 surviving children and im so grateful how accepting they are generally. Siobhan had left me with a hugs hole in my heart and I cannot even begin to imagine anything happening to one of the other three.
Im so paranoid now. Your grandparents must have endured so much pain - I am in awe that they found the strength to go on!
