Bra while you sleep
« on: April 15, 2021, 06:44:51 am »
Ladies,

Does anyone wear a bra while you sleep? Do you feel it inhibits your growth in anyway? I am a side sleeper and as my girls grow bigger.  I am beginning to want them more supported. Any advice or kinds you recommend? Hugs, Rebecca

Rebecca28, do what makes you comfortable. I can see having them grow and feeling them all the time now; you may want to wear something  for support and protect them from rubbing on the sheets. I never did when mine were developing but that was me you can as you want

I’ve always heard it was dangerous to wear a bra while sleeping. Not sure why though. I always sleep without because of that.

There are nights that I do indeed sleep wearing my bra.
At a "full" C-Cup, my breasts are large enough that there are nights that I want the extra support.
Here is what I have found about the subject of wearing a "Bra while you sleep"
HUGS,
Danielle

"You’ve heard the old wives’ tales time and time again, that sleeping in a bra can stunt breast growth, cause breast cancer, or alternatively, prevent breasts from sagging.

But contrary to popular belief, there’s no medical evidence that says it’s bad to sleep with a bra on. Depending on your breast size, sleeping in a bra can limit breast movement, which can help alleviate breast pain and lead to more comfortable sleep. "

"Is it OK to sleep with a bra on?
There are no peer-reviewed medical studies that point to any negative effects from sleeping with a bra. In fact, women with larger breasts who experience significant movement at night may benefit from a bra’s structured fit. "

I wouldn't wear a bra to bed mainly because it must be so uncomfortable to sleep wearing it lol.

But maybe you can try with a sports bra. They are wireless and some are made out of a softer or more pleasant material, but have cups to give some support to the breasts.

No bras to bed, noooo way lol.
I do have and advantage though, I sleep sideways nearly always hugging a pillow. And now since have my boobs done one lives under the pillow supported by the mattress and the other lives on top of the pillow supported by the pillow lol.

This was how I slept before and I'm glad I can still so! :)

When I started sleeping with a partner I switched to sleeping on my back.

I didnt sleep with a bra in my 20s because I had smaller boobs. Now that I am in my 30s I am a DD cup so when my period is about to come on my breasts are sore/tender and I have to wear a bra for support. It hurts too much to not have anything supporting them when they are sore. If Im post period I usually wear no bra to bed if Im at home.
All natural woman but here to lend support. Any questions? Just ask. :-*

Biowoman,

Thanks. I found sleeping in sports bra really helps me. So that’s what I do.

. . . sports bra really helps me. So that’s what I do.

As Marion (and others) suggest I suppose it depends on bras one likes to wear and how, or where, one sleeps? Rarely if ever sleeping in a bed I'm on my third (3!) "LazyGirl" recliner (which tend to wear out, break) thus, curled up on either side (not flat), I generally hug myself with arms tucked in tight which support breasts similar to Rachel_Christina's pillow?

Should try sometime very comfy with nary a back issue!

Very sensitive, in need of a break, I cannot believe how much they've GROWN  since switching from low dose tabs to IM's & "P" these last two months and, much prefering very thinly lined underwire but not at night, otherwise wear heavy padded type (which make me look too HUGE btw) in defense of two year old grandchild *jump on attacking*  ;D

Thin soft cami's are a great sleep have especially taken to snug-fitting Cotton/spandex tee tops (akin to a sports bra?) but but . . @Danielle a "full C"?

We should be more careful what we wish for where/when will they stop!

(lol see temporary change of avatar!)

"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Chloe..

“We should be more careful what we wish for where/when will they stop!”

I so agree!! That’s the great mystery for me. I am beyond excited not knowing. If I get bigger then a C then I might be talking to the Boob Gods asking them to stop. But seriously I am excited to see how big they eventually get. We will see!!

Hugs, Rebecca
