Might have to leave my personal practitioner
« on: March 18, 2020, 12:59:02 am »
Okay guys today was the final straw with my personal practitioner. I told my doctor's office I wanted to be referred to a specialist in hrt for trans people. I now know I need a endocrinologists (they seriously had no idea). I told them I needed a referral 3 different times in person over the last three months and today over the phone.

I contacted my medical provider, they told me they have received no referrals since OCTOBER! WHEN I HAD A PROCEDURE!

I talked to a receptionist (or nurse) any way she said she could refer me to an endocrinologists. She said she found someone and was going to call them and then get back shortly. She never did. I called back almost two hours later and I was told she was at lunch, but she would have her call me back. They never did. I just she sent in the referral and I could FINALLY get this going.

I don't really know what do. There is another well known service in my city with a endocrinologists that looks good.

Guys I don't want to sound optimistic in any way but should I talk to lawyer? I'm sorry but I feel there is malpractice. They said they were going do something THREE TIMES NOW FOUR! I keep thinking I did something wrong. I should have dressed as a girl. I just show up in a Jean's and a tshirt. IDIOT! I'm might be wrong but I'm hurt. I'm confused. I'm hoping these guys are just dumb and not prejudice. The the first doctor said "be who you are" "don't worry about there being anyone prejudice here, you are in good hands"

Guys what do I do? I feel so wrong I feel like maybe they said there was something i was meant to do. I meant wait for their call. NEVER CAME!

People say I'm too nice. I totally am I try to be friendly with everyone. Of course I get angry A LOT. But I do let people walk all over me. I dont know guys help.

You need to look out for yourself.

Look at it this way.  They work for a company.  They are usually under instructions to avoid sending business elsewhere.
Just like shopping.  You can't expect SAs to recommend you go to another store.

If you need to go out of their network you will need  to figure it out on your own.

I feel your frustration. People will drive you nuts. On top of it, their priorities are never yours.

Because of that, I always try to live by Churchill's Maxim, which goes, "Never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity or laziness."

It's not to say they aren't actually being malicious, but it can help you put up with them when you're dealing with the 《not allowed》.
