Earlier this month, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its Covid-19 recommendations to specifically target older adults and people with serious underlying medical conditions. They labeled this group as "higher risk."

However, another group of people could be particularly vulnerable to Covid-19 and hasn't received as much attention: people who smoke, vape or have substance use disorders.

As this virus targets the respiratory system its safe to say if this group caught it, it would potentially be more deadly.
Wind blew in, cloud was dispersed
Rainbows appearing, the pressures were burst
Breezes a-singing, now feeling good
The moment had passed like I knew that it should

May I add that drinking alcoholic beverages may weaken immune systems, making many more susceptible to catching a virus as well. You may use alcohol to wash your hands, but drinking it does not work the same way.

Now would be a good time to quit smoking and vaping for health like no other. Also to take steps to lower blood pressure by reducing salt and sugar intake and watching diet.

I quit smoking in early January this year by switching to vaping.  I’ve been decreasing the nicotine levels in my e-juice so I can eventually quit vaping too.  However, I’m not quitting vaping just yet.  And for now I’m smoking weed too, and that I’m not quitting at least until all this quarantining is over with.  I’m isolated 24/7; I gotta take the edge off somehow.

This surgeon has said in one of his videos that if you can lay off the cigarettes for seven days you will be in a much better place for recovering from this disease.
