MtF core workout
« on: April 07, 2020, 08:55:53 pm »
Hello,

First of all, I realise that this post is a question about a particular body image, and that everyone has different goals.

I'm pre-hormone and pre-op m2f, mid 30s, and my goal is to reduce the fat around my mid-section.

I'm wondering whether there are specific workouts that will get me to this goal and help me obtain a slimmer waist above my hips.  I run regularly and like my legs, but I don't really have an upper-body workout regimen, and I want to move towards a leaner waistline.  My upper-body feels way more bulky than my lower body.

I realise that this may not be achievable, but are there any workout routines that will help reduce the fat on my sides, stomach, and back?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Good question.  I'm older than you, but I have similar goals.  I don't carry a lot of weight, but it's all there around the middle.  I just don't want to build up upper body strength while getting rid of this middle fat.

Yes, they're called stomach vacuum exercises. My PT had me doing them to try and realign my pelvis.

Abdominal crunches are the best, as well as waist twisters.
Most important is your nutrition, eat lots of veggies.
And don't forget the aerobic exercises.

Done all kinds of core and ab work, but never heard of vacuuming.  Thanks!
