@Jessica
Dear Jess:
Pictures of your early vegetable garden growth?   Broccoli and Green Onions perhaps.
What are you day and night temperatures lately?

It is still winter up here...   minus -13 degrees (f) below zero and plenty of snow and ice on the ground.

Ahhhh, your chicken coop.   Many cities won't let you raise chickens in the city limits and I don't think they will allow Roosters.....   what is story where you live?

Thank you for sharing your pictures.
HUGS,
Danielle

Dear Rachel:
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos.

Can you do any good fishing in the pictured stream?

@barbie
Dear Barbie:
I always enjoy the beauty of a fresh snowfall on the ground.

How much snow do you normally get in a year?
What has been your deepest snow this year and perhaps in recent years?

Thank you for sharing your photos....
HUGS,
Danielle

Some snow at the beginning of the year made me stay home. At my university campus after the snow stopped:

@RandyL
Dear Randy:
Summer hiking is usually quite good in July/August.
In the winter time on days that the sky is clear and the snow is less than a couple feet we can do snowshoeing on some of the trails.... and if not the trails, on some of the rural roads.

Some folks here like to do Cross Country Skiing....

Hmmm, Colorado gets plenty of snow too... right?   Not all sunshine.  ???

HUGS,
Danielle

So Danielle I take it the "hiking" part of enjoying nature is somewhat shortened this time of year   You are strong. I lived in Wisconsin and Germany through a number of winters, and the shortened days and predominant clouds led me directly to where I live now, Colorado. I'm a sunshine addict

There are “red eyed bass” in the stream.  One of the few places on earth you can catch them.

And, there are the more common “spotted bass”.  My son says he caught what I believe was a “snakehead”.  If I understand his description correctly (I showed him a photo and he said that was it), that would be an invasive species that could threaten the red eyed bass.

I don’t believe they stock it with trout, and if they don’t there aren’t any there.

Yes Danielle, broccoli and red / yellow onions.
Our town allows 10 chickens / no roosters.
There are many raptors where I live and can’t free range unless I’m there, so I made a coop and run big enough for comfort when I’m not.
I’m creating a regenerative environment on the large area to one side of our home that the chickens will thrive in a more natural state.

Here’s today’s forecast...

Jessica,

I hope that your Broccoli casserole turned out tasty!

Chrissy
Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.

Quite tasty!
I layer it with rice, chicken, broccoli w/ cheese & mushrooms in a white creamy mushroom sauce topped with cheez-its...
